Another reason why I shall not derail this thread into a massive rap battle is cuz Tasah told me that he never intended for it to go this far, and apparently dislikes rap. I don't listen to any rap music, but it's still always fun to throw down some rhymes. I think Tasah just doesn't like getting shown up so badly.

If you haven't followed the discussion, Fips has agreed to give NA2 whatever map rotation we want (of existing maps, unmodified from their current state), so Jona has listed all the questionable maps and you + or - the post to state whether you agree with removing/adding each map. Since the clan's cRPG roots are on siege, we should make our voices heard (even if we all have different opinions about maps).

Banner prices have always been highly variable; it just depends on who is bidding at the time. The next two sold for 34k and 50k within hours of my 46g win:

The item balancers take too much heat from players. Yes, Tydeus screwed up polearm animations then went MIA, but he should get credit for "fixing" the 1h right swing (after initially breaking it, but it's now better than the original warband animation). Most of the item stat changes (San mostly I think) have been for the better as well: horses have more balanced stats than they used to, low requirement shields are actually decent, shield weight is lower across the board, there are more reduced-slot weapon options, the slowest weapons got faster, etc. I think the wpf changes were also an improvement, although I do miss the build diversity we used to have (everyone is 21/21 now).

Yea Phew I see what you mean. The thing that grinds my gears is the fact that it seems 60% of the server is pole and not hybrids. Since someone figured out that 180 wpf and 7 powerstrike is better than 130 wpf and 9 power strike.

I get just as frustrated in strat battles... and I end up grabbing a shield.

The closest I get to using a pike/longspear is using a 2d polearm of some kind in strat... never the dreaded 1d. So boring to play, regardless of how effective it is.

Its just so hard to break in that kind of formation unless you're willing to die in the breaking up of the formation but that only works if your team backs you up.

Otherwise its a waste of time.

I honestly hate longspear/pike formations in strat more than anything. I can handle 2h/1h formations.. but longspear/pikes.. shit. Its hard to get into attack range without opening yourself up to another longspear user from behind or from the side. It sucks. Once you get close and personal its easier but only when its 1v1 which is pretty much never the case in strat.

Yeah, exactly. But the reality is, no matter what class you are, longspears and pikes suck unless you are ranged or a longspearer/piker as well. I try and go hoplite or 1h shield to counter them simply because having the shield allows you to block 2 directions at once.
