About nudges

Is there any chance of getting 2h nudge aka pommel strike easier to perform?

If you compare it to other weapons:

- 1h can deal the nudge while holding any attack or any block, it's by far the easiest since it's always available.

- Polearms can shove while holding block to any direction. Up and down block make sense but turning the weapon instantly around from side-block to shove does not. Anyway, that makes shove very easy to do as well if you're not attacking.

But 2h can deal the nudge only while holding overhead attack. Not only is it the most useless nudge of them all but also least intuitive to use. Can we not have it available for other moves as well? At least up block makes sense animation-wise if that matters.

First, go to the shrine of Tydeus and wait for 3 days. On the dawn of the fourth day, take your longsword and throw it into the blue fire. Look to the statue of Tydeus and chant 3 times, no more or no less, "give me run".

Does that work the same way when I say "Give us Testi back"?

Anyway, 2h is the easiest class to use. So having a nudge that is slightly more difficult and completely useless is only fair :D

I wouldn't say 2 hander is the easiest, but it has a good presence in a fight with fast and long range swings. Making the nudge easier would probably not be good for balance.
If you have ranged troubles use this:

Testi's more like Jesus. On the day of reckoning, Testi will come from the heavens and finally gib us our l00ms.

Btw, if you're 2h, press X and go polearm for nudging.

Shit that makes me become somewhat religious.

Honestly I don't see why it would affect in balance in any way.

In 1vs1 it's completely useless, and most 2h's (the long ones) will propably never use it anyway (s key + kick trap is better anyway). It's very hard to push people off the ledge with it either so that shouldn't be a problem.

I think if 2h gets a nudge that works for every attack direction such as the 1h nudge, but is still as useless as the pummel nudge then that would be absolutely fine.

But giving 2h a nudge that is useful, such as the pole shove nudge, the 1h punch nudge, or the shield bash nudge would make 2h way too overpowered. It already has the most advantages over pole and 1h, does not need another one.

Bump for justice!

Give small weapons that don't have 1h or pole mode one of those or something. I mean if the weapon is carried in one hand, why the hell can't they have proper nudge? These weapons need it most because they spend all time hunting s key heroes with long weapons. Even those tea cup size bucklers can shove you 10 feet away without problem.

Siege is becoming more and more about pushing people down the ledges. Going against a wall of long ass poles and shields is pointless when your only option is to run up to it, stop and kick (or just throw your weapon away and nudge bare handed)...

A while back I did some messing around with 2h nudging possibilities. Without the need to make a new animation the 2h nudge, the deployed shield nudge could act as a shoving-type nudge for the bastard swords. Simply remove the shield. The idea is demonstrated by this gif here:

Nope, only useless pommel strike is allowed, if you want sexy nudge play a sexy class.

Or go the way of greatsword like majority... even they have pole shove.

you only want a better way for the Ninjas and bastard swords! i see that, played it for a while and indeed, the shorter 2hs have a big disadvantage over the longer reach weapons. they deserve some kind of nudge :)

2h still has the neutral nudge (same as every class), which is arguably the best one anyway. 1h can knockdown backpedalers, pole and shield can shove people off ledges, and 2h can deliver the longest stun (to open up turtlers so your teammates can hit them). All the non-neutral nudges leave you open to attack for a long time, so they are risky to perform.

Seems balanced to me.
