And the highway scene is a metaphore for the two wrecks of movies the 2nd and 3rd episodes were. Actually Reloaded is not that bad, but the third was absolute trash.

Considering I am Studying Films at college currently i think y'all just missing the ideological links of the two Matrix films (not counting that awful prequel) between Neo and the machines. Plus the cinematography and micro features used are incredible.

I am pretty sure the average opinion is that the first Matrix is the best one, just saying. Matrix Reloaded's story was a convoluted excuse to film action scenes that were too ambitious for the budget.

Are we even talking about the same films here? The one where Neo spins that tube around knocking all the Agent Smiths over and then spins round it kicking them all, that's the best film, and the special effects even hold up today - unlike 'The Matrix'.

Do you really not see the guys that are clearly not Hugo Weaving in that scene? Pause at 2:49 and look at their faces.

Even more hilariously. Do you really not see the Agent Smiths turn into plastic at exactly 3:00 minutes, where they decided doing CGI instead using doubles was easier? If you want you can watch part 2 and see that Neo spinning that tube around looks utterly terrible as well at certain points, as he as well has become a full CGI. The quality of the CGI gets worse as the numbers increase, looking pretty terrible eventually. The animations aren't that great either.

11-12 years ago we were all playing super mario bros on our ataris connected to giant ass TVs which were making strange voices all the time.

That time, Matrix was awesome more than any movie gets released nowadays.
