I understand why eastern european became an insult to some, but come on its not like they have 120% technology cost or they still need to westernize? 
In our day and age, its way more a still-to-be-decided geographical delimitation than a measure of enlightment.

But, say you are right. And those countries shouldnt be with 120% tech cost and needing to westernize.. cause of irl. But if we now take irl, do you still think 25%-40% for those countries further to the east is accurate? One could argue, those
shitholes countries should be somewhere at 75%.. you know..
But its a funny way to play around with in thoughts. Quite awful how some countries made themselves to be more shit and technology deprived then in history
