Maybe for already OP classes and items. But other items become only usable when you loom them.

Think about how a Spiked Mace +3 is a perfect substitute for an Iberian Mace +0, but you pay much less upkeep. A loomed bow makes a huge difference for archers. With Bodkin Arrows, you run out of ammo pretty fast when they are +0. Light armor protects you just as bad as paper, but an additional +8b +8l armor makes it about as strong as medium armor +0, without gaining weight. Most cavalry players pick just enough riding to use the horse they want. Two identical horses will have the same speed, but if you run from an enemy with a +3 horse while yours is +0, he will catch you. Loomed Arbalest and Steel bolts have a much higher onehit potential compared to +0. Depending on your PS, a loomed Espada Eslavona may stop glancing on the sideswings, while the vanilla version does not even stun the enemy. Unloomed low-tier shields break when you look at them. The loomed versions are quite good.

Most twohanded weapons and polearms might get only a small advantage. They are very strong and either benefit from backpedaling or very fast animations. They can kill pretty much anything in a 1v1, unless the enemy is faster and running away, or you are using a special purpose weapon like a Pike or a Maul. Looming them has a notable, but not a huge effect. Steel Pick and Warhammer for instance are also very good on +0. Not to mention an Arab Cav Sword. Who cares about the +3c when you have a super-long, fast and strong weapon with insane speed bonus anyways. High-tier helmets and shoes are not a must-loom. If you want more protection, you can simply buy better ones.

Thanks to looms I can run 61 body armour at 12 str for only 29k upkeep (including helmet, polearm and boots)



+5 would bring me up to maybe 65



Maybe it should reduce armour weight or upkeep slightly instead a non-essential luxury.

+5 only for weapon, not armor. although the developers might think armor and over. because more waves shildmaiden players do not pass

if the weapon is 5 it allow players to use the glasses are not on the force of impact and on the run, veapon master or any of the other skills

imo +5 armors are needed, not weapons lol D:
as i already said - at least half of community already got mw weapons. thats why simple heavy armor is useless and even mw ones are useless too.
i have many body armors and for at least half of year i am usually playing in light-medium ones because plate SUX. it gives huge penalty and very low advantage. i know, people prefer to have balanced builds... well but heavy plate must be stronk and it currently isnt.

What about doing this but at the same time limiting the total amount of heirlooming bonuses you can use on a character to 8 or some other number ?
This would be interesting because there would be real choice to make even for people with 50 loom points. Do you want heirloomed armor, or weapon, or both, by how much ?

seems you are jealous. getting mws is not as funny as playing on high lvl. for me, for example, getting mws is the only reason to play in this MMORPG because i already have every achivment i can get. I am already Legendary, getting 36 again is wasting of the time so i am playing on my alts to get all of them to the 33 lvl and then i'll grind loomz. getting every item on mw is my goal to finish this game.
haters gonna hate but i am not sure how does it affect on you?
yes, there is so many masterworks so there should be something that will make mw not as needed as before. imo - just increase the maximal ammount of loomz that can be invested in an item will do 2 actions in same time:
it will make loomz not as popular because +5 item is top. now everyone needs IT.
it will reduce the production on mws in global because now people will grind looms for making their mws better.
for example, for now i have like 43 mws. so if there will be +5 items - i gonna have to retire like 40 times from 32 lvl. as you can imagine - its god damn shitload of time.

and even +5 weapon still wont be OP. yes, maybe its gonna make the life of unloomed people even worse but not as much as looks like. yes. i am not agree with increasing the speed on the weapons but damage. and as i already said - plate is useless nowdays. you, Kafein, is the one who proved it not once while you are naked and with side sword. it shouldnt be like it currently is.
