About DTV and Rageball

Since eu2 is broken i tried DTV and Rageball.

Rageball:

Pro:
Very fun
Very good xp (saw a lot of low levels)

Cons:
Got kicked by the players for "attacking everywhere" (is this a thing?)
Can't find the rules or controls/more info on the mod anywhere  (http://wiki.c-rpg.net/index.php?title=Rageball doesnt work)

Dtv

Pros:
Mobs killing happiness
Its a more relaxed gameplay

Cons:
Not sure how the exp works and could not find any page
Tk is a big thing there (sry)
Kind of low xp
I noticed xp got bigger with every round and the server constantly crashed on what i think was the beginning of last round

So:
Can anyone explain the xp system in DTV or give a link?
Can anyone point to a link with the rules in Rageball or give a link?
Whats your feedback on those game mods?

For rageball, guide in the guides section of the forum, weirdly enough, who could have thought of searching there for it... http://forum.melee.org/guides/raegball(rageball)-guide/

About attacking everywhere, basically rageball is about the ball, not about killing. Killing is meant to be simply a way to take the ball from an opponent or gain position, but afaik there is no specific rule against it, and it has been discussed a few times.

DTV: XP is obtained at the end of every round (a round is 3 waves of bot spawns), it depends on the gear and amount of bots, and time taken to defeat them. Capped at some quantity. Peasants, bandits give little, but by the time you reach searaiders you are already close to full xp (with a full server)

I love both gamemodes

DTV:

There are lots of rounds, last one being Tincans. (Used to be 15 rounds, but a couple were added, so I guess 20 or so now) There are 3 waves in every round.

At the end of each round you get experience.
The more teammates stay alive through the round, the more experience you get.
The more bots spawn, the more experience you get (More players = More bots).
The faster you kill the bots off, the more experience you get.
The higher the wave, the more experience you get. There is a cap on how much exp you can get, but I cannot remember it.

That should be it really. Don't know the exact formular, but you get the idea.

If you have a decent team you can get lots of exp.
Always good to see DTV-Heroes like Pato, Illu, Jaeger, Cora, Mauler, Bob, Utter etc etc :D

Rageball:

Definitely a lot more fun if you have balanced teams.
Faster gameplay, so you gotta be fast :P Agi whores are a lot more viable than str whores since running is the most important thing.
Also you wanna set your "free look" key to something easy to reach, since you constantly have to check where teammates are in case you get the ball and need to pass it away quickly.

As for the rules: Before Rageball was taken down for a while I actually remember there being rules. But now I cannot find them anymore. I think you could see them when joining EU6/NA6. But now they aren't ingame anymore either.
And yes, I definitely do remember killing people who are not near the ball was not allowed. (Ranged obviously being an exception)
Sadly too many people still go play TDM rather than try to get the ball and score a goal.

If you have a nice team, then you get lots of exp (Afaik it is not double exp like Battle or Siege, but not sure)
If you have a team of retarded windowlickers, then you are better off getting exp on another server.

For all the non-believers, look no further than this thread for proof that while strat battles are won/lost in NA3/EU3, strat wars are won and lost on the forums.

Thanks Moncho.
I totally missed the fact that Beginner's Help and Guides had a child board.

When does people play rageball? Sometimes the server is empty and I want to play this gamemode once again.

I also remember that, riding skill counts as athletics on this server (like in DTV). Athletics or riding, whichever is higher your character has that much athletics.

Seems the fascists are gaining ground once again in UKR... right vving politics is SO bad for the general populace but STILL in times of trouble the uneducated turn to them for help, simply because they are so amoral they vvill supply those vvilling to fight vvith vveapons rather than knovvledge.

My UU key is broken incase you can't tell :D

I played yesterday and today. Around 10 - 20 people usually on.
Even an admin was around most of the time today.

It's pretty fun.
