I'm running a half marathon for charity. Would any of you sponsor me?

Im doing it for the RNLI, a charity in the UK who pluck people from the ocean who need help. I havent made my sponsorship page, but just wondering if anyone would be interested in sponsoring me. If yes, I'll post it when I do it, if no, then I won't.

I must be new here, but I don't get how is running linked with charity?
And half marathon is like 24 km, right? Doesn't seem like a big deal, I mean ofc it's cool to run long distances but...
