did tons of practicing in dm only hs , aim and other servers , i know smokes/flashes on 60% of the maps ( not all , just the basic ones and some tricky i learned offline with bots).
the fact is ....you could be the best player in the world but when you have 0 collaboration in the team it's pretty much useless to play when your team is composed by :

1) The afk
2) Russian with mic that speaks only russian and insult you whatever you are doing
3) 13 y/o that just insult you
4) The troll/smurf that plays only to harass people

yes , you can do your best but i stop talking after i see people don't care about the match.
without calls you can't really do nothing , maybe you can try to ninja plant , kill 1 or 2 but you can't win the match alone that's what i mean.
in 4 it's another story , you can actually win if you speak other than shoot.
that's matter of luck i assume....some mathces you get a team that want to win and make calls , others you asking yourself why you are still playing the game or you didn't uninstall.

It's just simple probability. If you're better than the guys you're playing against, you will rank up. The better, the faster. The other team has the same chance of getting that kind of composition as well.

well i assume i'm a bit unlucky then. is this elo system based only on k/D ratio? if yes , well gg teamplay.

oh nvm found https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=312582297

"So what affects your rank (points gained or lost) in a nutshell is:

    Current Elo Points (rank)
    Round Win/Loss
    MVPs Gained"

 "How to Rank-Up Fast
Queue with 4 friends who have higher rank than you and have them let you get the MVP for Plant/Defuse whenever possible. You still need to be able to win a lot of rounds from the enemy team. "

i don't like this system much but it's functional. still prefer 1.6 where you join a server and you don't care about ranks , victory , mvp or such , this is some nerdy shit.

You don't need to care about ranks, victory, MVP or anything else in CSGO either. Just play. The ranking is there just to match you with similarly skilled players. If you deserve to rank up, you will. If you don't, you won't.

I've only played enough CS:GO Ranked matches to be ranked, got MG1, cba to play.

Everyone likes to assume that, but the matter of fact is that enemies get just as bad teammates as you do.

this is true but the game is meant to be played for fun and with matchmaking it's impossible to have fun in solo queue (at least early ranks) , that's what i mean.
maybe i'd just add people i feel confortable playing with and do comp with them.

But... why? Why is it impossible to have fun in matchmaking in solo queue? The only possible reason could be in your own head. MM is superior to purely random team compositions. It puts somewhat equally skilled players against each other. That is all it does. How does that make it impossible to have fun?

i have fun in casual  matches alone , in comp it's a different story.
if you are spending 20 minutes trying to get a single round win while your temmates are trying to do the opposite , well it's not my cup of tea.
obviously this happens 1 of 3 matches , so i have fun in 2 matches.
in duo queue or 4 queue , at least you chill with your mates if things are going bad.
i like competitive games , played quake , raven shield , ut ,  cod4 and i always had fun playing it even when i was losing.
maybe we have different ways to enjoy a game , dunno.

But I don't understand what your actual complaint is. How is the MM worse for enjoyment than no-MM? Of course you get tons of retards, so? You get tons of retards in games with no MM as well. Because of the ranks and MM the difference is that you actually get a lot of people who are trying to win as hard as they can, when in casual games people fuck around a lot more.

Gotten to gold nova master now, been playing a few times with a DMG, and managing to keep my score up into the top 3 spots normally. Surprising how little people know how to teamwork as i've gone through the ranks. Did face one team that did nothing but p90 rush, so fucking annoying haha.
