It looks like a Dwarf Fortress clone with better graphics, but a little less depth.

Does anyone have experience with this game and could give a recommendation?

Yes, less depth. It's currently in Beta so the dev keeps updating and adding things. Now there is diplomacy and ambassadors, etc. Just not much you can really do, doesn't get nearly as detailed as DF, but much more user friendly, looks good, and is fun up to a point.

Isatis's weapon struck true 8 times, the bronze scimitar lodging in the goblins liver and severing the motor nerve. He then punched it in the left hand so hard that the goblin's bones shattered.

Rather than wearing the garrison issued copper helm, isatis decides to wear a wool cap. This works for a time; the light cap allows her to bite the goblin in the ankle and rip out the motor nerves. However, it is powerless to stop the goblin's dagger from crashing through his skill and making a mess of the brains. RIP.

hahaha yeah that's what tends to happen on you're first few tries but on the current save i'm on, probably liek the fourth I am surviving pretty well whilst still have NO FUCKING CLUE what the hell i'm doing and what all the letters and numbers mean   

I'm scared every update will be the last, But i think Johammeth's skills are far superior than mine..
