You should check out the DIY PC combo kits on newegg...

http://www.newegg.com/DIY-PC-Combos/PromotionStore/ID-33/Page-3

I would recommend forking out a few hundred dollars more and getting something for around 600-700$... It will really be worth it in the long run imo.

But if your budget is set at about 400$, I'm pretty sure you can build something better, as well as brand new, for the same sum of money.

Building a PC is easy... for me, the only pain in the ass is the software aspect... installing the OS, Drivers, and networking it. But its really not that hard... just annoying (imo)

I have checked the specs...

The cpu is beast, but it has integrated gpu, and I am not sure if I am comfortable with that. Besides, does that system come with preinstalled win7 64bit?

New systems come probably with Win8 by now.
Pray it's not 8.1 cuz it seems there are quite the issues with it. Tho they may have fixed that by now - dunno for sure.

Still, get us detailed specs on that used one and we might actually give proper advice. Those things you wrote about it are plain useless.

You need to collect much more details about what you're going to buy because otherwise it just looks like if you were hesitating to buy a used black car with 4 doors and 200 horse powers.

Well I recall some other details

The gpu is AMD radeon series.

The cpu is AMD athlon series.

I listed the price in dollars to create a wider idea of true price. Unfortunatelly, hardware prices in my country are quite high, and I am not sure about the shipping costs to europe.

Most of the stuff I have seen at this price range has either integrated GPU (never again), or overall sucks.

EDIT: I think I found the cpu in question: http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=ADX270OCBX

I'm afraid you need to give us the exact details if you want a useful response.

Hmm, the problem is the shop is closed for weekends, so I have no way to verify.

Then ask them for a full detail list on Monday and asked for details when the stuff was bought and put together, how long it was used etc. Actually they should also check the hardware, doing some tests and more (at least for the graphic card there are many testing programs).

Btw I'd rather get Win 8.1 and not Win 8 now, or not? I thought Win 8.1 was supposed to fix stuff and mistakes they made in Win 8. It's not like an update xp -> vista? :p

If the rest of the rig plays in the same league as the CPU I'd say it isn't worth more than $250.

Lol is that really the level of hardware? the guy is trying to rip you off, not only are they second hand, but I wouldn't even pay that money if those parts were brand new.

Yeah I don't have much first hand experience with integrated graphics so I can't really give you much information on that. If I was buying I would probably get one with a video card because that's what I've always done. As for the systems coming with windows... I don't believe they do, they don't mention anything about windows coming pre-installed so I'm guessing they don't, still I don't think that should make you shy away from building your own.

Check out this DIY build kit...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1606890

569$
AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) (6 core) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor
GIGABYTE GV-R726XOC-1GD Radeon R7 260X 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card (Model:GV-R726XOC-1GD)
1 tb hard drive
8gb ddr3 1600 memory
Decent looking case, and a nice Mobo to boot.

Would last you for years... It's a good video card but if you ever need more that's a simple upgrade.. and you can just buy 2 more sticks of the same ram for 16gb memory.

I'm going to be buying something like this within the next few months, my current system is on its last limb and I'm still using windows vista

I would check the shipping costs to europe,  you can add the kit to cart on newegg and then type in your zip code to estimate shipping costs. Windows OS new will run you about 100-140$ I think.

I would rather not touch win 8 altogether,
