what can I do to get better fps?

Not to be a jerk, but this game has really out dated graphics.  You should consider a newer machine this game came out 6 years ago?

Get scary mod, put the game in directx7 instead of directx9, turn down all of the settings (especially ragdolls and corpses).

and im already buying a new pc..im playing on my laptop meanwhile

If you have bad FPS playing with Dx9 switching to Dx7 will give you a huge FPS boost.

And, about upgrading the computer, if you can't afford Intel or NVIDIA, AMD has good CPU and GPU for more reasonable prices. I've been using an AMD graphics card for a couple of months now and I'm very happy with it, and it cost me almost half of what the NVIDIA equivalent would have cost.

Got a radeon there (AMD) and the fps I got is really bad ( have been using cRPG at 125 % of its power for 2 years, had to lower a lot graphisms to get more than 20 fps in melee/big battles), getting a NVIDIA or a Intel is the best thing you can do honestly.

If not scary mod then get alex dragon's optimization mod.

and about the graphic card..i will just buy one that is average expensive and from a firm I know..i dont need a really good one to play

True that would be a  waste. Got a desktop from early 2005 that can run Warband in Dx9 with around 60 fps. Good old times

Well truely and honestly I'd suggest updating your PC sometimes soon, this game has some outdated stuff.

But since that's probably not an option. Make sure to use WSE2. Or atleast try it out, it can give you FPS boosts, it did to me. Limit your FPS to about 80 or 100. Don't go over that or you'll start to rubberband. So just keep it at a limit. WSE2 allows more graphical options. Just enable it in the launcher
