I don't know if you noticed at all, but I was a Grey myself, after I left Wolves I joined Greys (left for a bit to help Knitler start his own clan, which he got bored of really quickly and I went back to Greys before joining Byz)
That's why I can say that every single Grey-member is terrifically nice and I'd love to have some of them come to NA with us (even though I know it won't happen
)
I personally don't see you as a "monster". I only joined half way through last strat, but with HRE, Fallen etc in one faction you obviously had to stick with DRZ. And since you were allied with them for the last couple strats, why change now? Completely understandable.
But at the moment there is just no way of uniting all small factions to fight against you. Everybody wants to work towards their own benefits, rather than focusing on the big enemy first. People would do their own thing, some would probably backstab others and the result would be complete chaos, while you (like now) have an easy game taking the whole map.
Shogunate was attacked by Kalmar right in the beginning, which delayed the war against DRZ by quite a bit. (and now they complain that we didn't attack earlier
)
We don't expect to live longer than maybe a few days, I assume most Byz' will quit, I will go to NA, since they don't have such a massive block-faction like the UIF.
You don't have to constantly fear being wiped within the blink of an eye, smaller faction have a chance to actually grow properly.
