NA_Event server admin and event aplication thread

So are you guys going to set up some more events/tournaments, or what?

planning on having an event on wendsdays if there has not been any events for two weeks prior, so unless somebody else makes an event there will be one on Wednesday april seventh.

I plan on starting a league and posting the whole mess next Tuesday or Wednesday, I'm going to be busy this weekend and will not have a chance.

 ^ and if somebody wishes to start weekly events it is their choice to do so but it is not in my interest to do so at the moment. the server would most likely need to be bigger for scheduled weekly events.

Do I need to get this events section of the forums reorganized so we can get shit going? What's the deal? Once people start getting events and tournaments going, I think I'll try to start an NA league(possibly EU too, but I think Nessaj would need to manage that). For League winners, we'd probably give them special items that only they had access to.

Frankly I don't think enough people visit this section... most news of upcoming events is spread by word of mouth nowadays by the few of us who do check here.

Was thinking about a small EU vs NA tournament maybe?
1v1; 2v2; 3v3;... ; 10v10 or whatever.

Problem would be that, so I assume, many EU players would not be interested due to the higher ping.

So I just wanted to ask anybody who actually reads this section to ask around if there would be enough applicants for both sides.

Could that HRE server be tweaked to do the same thing? We could have something first held in NA, then held in EU to see the differences.

I do not have anything to do with any HRE guys really so I don't know

But I think it would still not fix the problem that many EUs could not be arsed to play on NA servers, and I guess many NAs couldn't be bothered to play with EU ping.

I have an idea, unfortunately not many people are signing up for the NA clan league, so what if we did something like the EU Nations Cup, but instead there would be a team for each region like the midwest, southeast, canada etc.
