Ban Request for Chevalier_Onurb

2. Name of offending character(s)- Chevalier_Onurb

3. Time and server, as accurately as possible- NA1 Around 7pm PST 3/29/14

4. Written description of what happened, the whole story. Also what happened before and after. I was riding on my horse with my lance and saw a group of enemies with their swords raised in the air with one teammate with them (was Onurb) and I figured I could get a kill on one of them by lancing. One of them pulls out a pike and kills my horse, I pull out my sword to engage the person, and am hit in the back by Onurb for the team kill. He says "lol" "sorry" as 2 different messages, and goes back to raising his sword in the air jumping around with everyone there. He didn't try to kill the person I was going after, which makes me believe he was targeting me (the person with the Klappvisier (I think that is what the helmet the person in the 2nd picture has) is Kolee, which is who I originally went after).

5. Why you think the offender did what he did. Because he was bro-coding with some people on the enemy team and didn't want me to interrupt their circle-jerk.

Kolee_GEFORCE (was the one I was trying to kill, also was one of the people with their sword raised jumping around), Malta_Serbutts (was one of the people with their sword raised), and anyone else who happened to be there at that time (cant remember other names).

Character witness statement-

Onurb knows how I run Chevalier. If you're guilty for intentionally TK'ing a member of the community you're kicked from Chevalier effective immediately. This is instilled heavily. Ask anyone who's come into our channel on TS. "blah blah blah Chevaliers are for people who take this game too seriously" "Chevaliers are try hards who don't know the difference between having some fun and trolling". I hear it all the time through the grapevine, and to me directly when people come into the channel to just talk. It's fine. I don't mind people talking bad about us for not wanting to be like 80+ percent of the community and run around calling eachother "my old friend" "cunt" and "friend" in chat. But I can say Bonsai and I run a tight outfit. We both have standards for your behavior during your time in Chevalier, and expect everyone to hold up to the agreement given upon joining up under the banner and name. He joined Chevalier because we have behavioral standards. Onurb being a rural country boy from Argentina doesn't care for all the trolling that goes on in the community.

So, when he's accused of intentionally TK'ing someone I raise an eyebrow, naturally.

The man being accused of intentionally TK'ing, Onurb, is Argentine. He's forced to play NA with over 300+ ping. Chances are that he's going to get in a stab or a swing that he didn't see a friendly in the way of. Usually, someone would shake it off under the fact that his ping is 300+ and just ignore it. I mean, not to throw this back in the OP's direction, but I've been TK'd more times that I want to even try to remember by Acre members who may have been doing a "Bro Code" when attempting to fight James whis he is doing his 360 whirlwind swings. Now Westgage, I can probably think of atleast 4 times I was TK'd by you specifically where you didn't even attempt to apologize, if we wan't to go there.

Now if he would have said "lol" "GF" like most of the community does after TK'ing someone, then I would be more than happy to allow him to be banned and he would be removed from my roster. But, knowing how he despises trolling and the like, I can't say with good conscience that this is at all worthy of any sort of ban, ESPECIALLY when you have almost every clan/faction out there with people of normal NA ping TK'ing left and right, not even attempting to apologize in any way. Those people not getting reported and ban threaded, or even after being ban threaded only be given a warning.

This isn't a question of if he TK'd me. It is why would he have swung for the guy, killed me, then instantly go back to fucking around with the enemies with their weapons in the air (including the person I was trying to kill).

I don't personally do the whole "bro-code" shit, I think it is disrespectful to the effort your teammates are giving to try and win. If you ever see it and it effects the turn out of a match, report it, even if an Acre person does it. I have a problem with getting TK'd by a person who is doing it, which is why I am reporting it. You can clearly see him in the screenshots ignoring enemies messing around with them. I know he is a member in your community, but this doesn't excuse the actions shown in the screenshots.

And in regards to me TK'ing you 4 times and not apologizing any times, I don't really believe it. I have only been playing cRPG for 2 weeks now and I find it highly unlikely I have happened to TK you 4 times in that timeframe. I also generally say something along the lines of "sorry" or "sorry for tw" either when I die or when the round is over. Occasionally I may forget, but not often. Never have I intentionally teamkilled/wounded.

I mean, I'll tk any given individual at least 5 times in any given two weeks.

I'm also greedy cav that intentionally bumps teammates to steal their kills if they aren't doing a good job of fighting.

Believe me when I say, 2 weeks is enough time to TK someone more than 4 times. I think Bonsai accidentally kills me 12 times a day with his spetum stabs in giant melees. He still tops the board every map and carries, and not to mention I've been working alongside him for almost 3 years now, so it's expected/fine.

As for him bro coding, you said he swung at the guy, and on his next swing he killed you. He has 300+ ping consistently. Have you ever played on the China servers?  Move 3 steps, or throw a swing. Watch what happens before you teleport swing some poor guy who happens to be in the way. All credit to his ping for as to why after he swung at the guy he connected his next hit on you, I'm sure. Now. If we're banning people who have skyrocketed ping that TK now and then due to not being native to NA soil, and don't fight an enemy or two now and then, then we might as well get rid of Ken456, Hirlok, a few of the Smurf clan, and the Frisian Gold farmer who's name I can't recall. Why not mention banning Kolee and SerButts while we're at it. However it may be, I will definitely talk to Onurb about this incident, next time I see him that is. Like previously stated though, he lives out in the countryside of Argentina, where there isn't an internet connection withing 30 miles. The only time we see him on is literally when his family packs up and drives into the city for the weekend. Have some pity.

And as you're new here, you'll see it's supremely commonplace for actions like that. You're going to be putting up a ban thread every 3 hours with that attitude, becoming the new Anders of the ban forums if you plan to crusade against everyone who does bro code. You don't want his reputation. Good intentions, low results, bad outcomes. It happens, I hate it, you hate it. And we, Westgate, are better for it, but there's nothing we can do about it, and admins neither have been able to do anything about it as long as I can remember. It's a continual circle of rage inducing outcomes that have been around as long as I've been here.

I get what you are saying about not being able to stop bro-coding, I don't plan on stopping it, nor do I plan on posting a ban report for everyone doing it. And I don't know where you are getting I said he swung twice, he swung once, hit me for the tk, and went back to bro-coding. That is what I have the problem with, not the bro-coding itself.

The sequence of events as seen from my perspective seemed like it was an intentional tk, but I will drop this for one thing. Just talk with him, what doesn't make sense to me is this, why he would stop attacking the person after one swing that killed a teammate and go back to bro-coding with them? If I can get an answer for that question, I will drop this.

In all possible actuality, knowing the 2 [malta/kolee], they probably didn't cut down Onurb immediately afterwards because Onurb put down their enemy for them, and decided to raise their weapons in thanks, used the "Hello" command, and buggered off to agility spam some other poor guy down.

Unfortunate as it is, I can't put an answer together on the few pictures that were provided. Not due to trying on your part though. You took what pictures you needed to, to put a case down.

I actually did a double take when reading the subject of this thread.

I've played with Onurb on multiple occasions and never had any problems with him. He has never done anything similar to this that I can remember and he always struck me as a nice guy who tries hard with a severe handicap (Ping). I know Chevalier run a tight ship and this will probably be resolved internally. If a admin does get involved in this I hope some careful consideration takes place.

I don't see any bans on record for Onurb, so this would be his first offense.  However, this team kill could have very easily been accidental.  The "bro coding" on top of that is what bothers me the most, but I'll let that slip with a warning as well.

When you bro-code you ruin the game for everybody around you, please be considerate of your teammates.  I trust Inglorious to make that clear as well.
