Personal targets

Yesterday I hit level 33 which had been a goal of mine for some time now (simply for the veteran title). I retired and now have 4 MW's.

Although this does not seem a lot compared to a lot of people on this mod, with level 36's about and god knows how many MW's. I have only been playing for 2 years, and I know a lot have played for 3.

Getting to a higher level proved to be GREAT FUN and I kind of wish I did not retire, but I am finally happy with where I am in this game.

So what is everyone else's goal for the mod? What makes you keep on playing?

EDIT: and a thank you to the devs for making me waste my time in getting to this point

I just hit 34 yesterday, and I was disappointed with myself because I only geared my build for 32. Only reason I went further is that my clan mates pushed us to go higher level--then everyone started retiring and I stuck with it.

Now I have 5 riding, but I am a shitty cav, and I'm sure my teammates hate that I bump them every time I press W. Retirement will be in my near future because level 35 literally holds nothing for me in the skill tree.

I keep playing because I enjoy the very core of the game. Spawning with 80 players on a map and doing what you can to make your side win, having some challenging fights with worthy opponents, carrying a team or clutching a round are things I enjoy, basically I am a performance whore. Retiring, looms and levels just get in the way of that and I despise the lot of it. I also enjoy playing strange builds or weapons and trying to make them work. Having multiple high level characters and having access to an armoury with a great variety of looms are probably what kept me playing this last year. The mod has quite a lot of variety even if you play pretty much only melee like me. Although when you think about it, it is quite crazy that I regard switching from a Flamberge to a Great maul as a different experience.

My only constant goal is to humiliate and bash 2handers.

Look at my signature, everytime I own a punk ass 2hander who believes he`s a god, I jizz a bit in my pants.

Have a unique build no one can copy. Used up 3.5 million to respec from 25/15 generic 1h + lancer to 18/27, then to 15/30 from the free respec.

Now I just enjoy playing the game, testing out different builds on stf.

Finding out what stupid shit we can do with friends, and have a whole lot of fun with it regardless of wins or losses.

When I was early in my career with this game, my enjoyment came from the grind. Ironically enough, the thing that reignited my enjoyment in this game is the total disregard for the grind. Somehow I've almost made it to 35, and never really looked or cared for level 34, let alone 35.

I like the sound of my blade hitting the body (preferably of my enemy)

If I'd ever lose my hearing, I'd stop enjoying cRPG or Warband for this matter  :o

Personal goal is to have fun. In order to do that, I cripple myself so that no matter how good I get there is always a challenge. (Hoplite spec, light armor, unorthodox weapon choices- Light Lance, Knife, cheap 1h axe)

Teamwork is always fun, as a hoplite I can always contribute to team fights. I like seeing others succeed so I feel all warm and fuzzy if I help a newer player take down a vet, or help a vet takes down 3-5 or more people at once. After the main battles over, I go and try to do hoplite duels which usually don't go well but are very fun. Also gives me a chance to die... once you get good at using a shield all that work you planned to do while dead doesn't really get done...

Note: I know I tw a lot, and I know some of you hate it. But I do feel horrible about it every time, so I do apologize in advance. I have good intentions, I swear.

Fighting. I like fighting ppl and then killing them. I do it with joke weapons and gimp builds and then I teabag their corpses, btw here is Teeth's post, fixed for accuracy:

I keep playing because I enjoy backstabbing noobs. Spawning with 80 players on a map and doing what you can to make your animations glitch, having some easy backstabs on noobs, carrying a team or clutching a round are things I enjoy, basically I am a performance whore. Retiring, looms and levels just get in the way of that and I despise the lot of it. I also enjoy playing easy builds and currently OP weapons and trying to make them work.

Btw I do agree with Teeth, lvling and grinding are the worst part of this game.

Personal goal is to have fun. In order to do that, I cripple myself so that no matter how good I get there is always a challenge. (Hoplite spec, light armor, unorthodox weapon choices- Light Lance, Knife, cheap 1h axe)

Nothing difficult about hopliting, and less with lightlance. Gimp yourself properly or dont type about it.

Never had permanent personal targets but I do sometimes target somebody for fun, mostly a friend or somebody that I had a fun conversation with in the chat. I'm focusing you next round hahah!!1 I do target top players on the enemy team sometimes, taking out, or harrasing their star player early on really does effect a team.
And now he can't play because of "common sense" and he doesn't understand how this common sense works

I just keep playing because it is alot of fun to play with the guys I know since my first days of Warband and also new guys I met in NW or other games.

I came here for the fun and I stay here for the fun, just because it is fun.  :)

I still enjoy the core gameplay, the teamwork and trying to win against the odds. Don't really have any character development goals. Am 1/4 towards 36 but its not really something I think about. I like to make a bit of gold when I play to save for looms but if I don't I don't mind

I play a build that allows me to play any melee class so I've been trying to learn other things than just polearm recently. 2 hand isnt op
