The problem most big guys face is the fact that there are lot of drunk midgets with inferiority complexes that want to show that they are tough and start fights they can't ever win. Anyway, this is not easy and you should think about finding a way how to handle these situations. I understand you feel bad, especially if you had a choice and could do something else.
