I dont agree to any solution here. DTV is as good as it was, just alot harder.
U still can make a shitload of money if u know how to. If u choose your equipment well for each round (yeah this means u rly need to use your equipmentscreen and not wearing your MW-Equip all the time) you can make money every round.

The real large problem is the behavior of a few ppl. Why?
- Starting duelling in DTV
- just afking (or just running around the V and die when bots charge V, so doing nothing at all)
- suicide runs
- trolling with kicks and nudges and do more harm as beeing usefull

How to fix it?

More DTV Admins! 1 warning - 2nd kick. more than 3 kicks a weak - Ban for a week. 3 Bans during 3 months - perm ban.

(i can only speak of EU-DTV, dont hang around much in others)

We cant get to higher rounds where the real profit xp and gold wise is. Once in a while the clouds break and we make it to Tihr round to die, but even I armed with the best of my clan and Acre together couldnt get past Tihr. All acre fellows had plate on too, and so did I and my skilled mate Hitla. Ive lost all my gold in DTV and now my items are starting to break. I could break even before because I was at least paid enough to fix my gear and continue the fight but we simply cant get far enough on DTV to make gold.

Oh yeah lets do that leechers wear 0 upkeep gear, let them dir in one hit, they spawn more bots for others to deal with and potentially lose they still get xp and gold

A leecher doesn't always use free stuff so that doesn't always apply so again your point is slightly invalid there and you can still make gold using heavy gear in dyv hence most people go there it really is not hard, so don't make a scene for my opinion it's stupid

So if you want this then as Panos says remove gold gain

Solution: Remove upkeep, Remove gold gain.

People will be incentivized to bring whatever gear they want to contribute at maximum capacity to the efforts of their team.

This sounds rather lovely, and I'm not just saying this due to the pretty colors.
