Poll results are going to be incredibly skewed to the point that it is entirely useless. A much larger proportion of the mostly English language NA player base is active on the English forum compared to the EU player base, which contains many very active Strat players with little English skill or interest in the forum from for example Poland, Russia, Turkey or France.

I think the admins got better ways to know who is playing than a forum poll    but thats interesting for us plebians to know approximately how many people will play strat.

I didn't feel it was a appropriate to post it in the announcements section like last time, seeing as it's not an announcement. I can always move this thread around, though, to somewhere like regular general discussion.

Certainly; this is mostly for the sake of the general public's interest. Before Strat 2 when the old poll went up it was during a long down-time after the first Strategus was over and there wasn't a good way to determine the number of players interested in participating in it or which region they would belong to.

There people had something at stake so they bugged their friends and clanmates who normally don't go on forums to vote.  There is nothing like that here.  Just the normal folk who use forums, which tends to be more people whose primary language is English.

Of course i wouldn't complain if they made a map based on this.  But you should also add in Pacific/Asian - probably could get a couple hundred votes there and maybe get a third area for them using a hong kong or japan based server location for good internetz.
