Padded Cloth over Mail

I really like the Padded Cloth armor but it just wasn't strong enough, so I decided to make a model that would hopefully give it more protection. I think it may be silly to have padding on the outside and chainmail on the inside but...meh.

Just so that enemies think you don't have the chainmail under it. So they think they can onehit kill you, and then they are like "oh damn dis man is stronk!".

I think padded and layered cloth armor has been worn over mail. In this thread, various history-geeks discuss about padded armor, and several are of the opinion, it was also worn OVER mail armor: http://www.myarmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=24220&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= There are even some historical text references that talk about a final jack made of cloth being worn over mail.

I think it makes sense, it's probably to reduce the impact of piercing weapons before they reach the mail. Also, it can hold the mail armor better in place, so that it's more comfortable to move around.
