You are wrong actually.  Read the decision.  The internet is not classed as a utility, such as electric, gas or water.  Therefore the court ruled that the FCC has no authority to regulate.  The legislature needs to pass legislation putting it under the authority of the FCC, then it can be regulated.

The infrastructure that these networks run on was paid for by public funded tax payer money (at the same time when our national highway system was being built).  It's a public utility, and the ruling said that there is significant "competition" so there's no monopolies.  However that is not true, and we've seen this before with telephone companies who were technically not "Monopolies" but they worked together to fix prices.

I believe its Colorado that allows the ownership of anti-tank weapons lol, like bazookas and shit.  You will have to talk to them, my state is too liberal to let me own anything larger then a .50 caliber.

That's not what liberal means

its a reference to the political party, democrats, they tend to be more liberal then republicans, in which my state is mostly democratic, with the exception of a few counties.

So im not speaking directly about the definition, more so about the relation to the people who are democrats.

Democrats=Liberals
Republicans=Conservatives

Well ok, but what I quoted is roughly equivalent to saying you can't have gay marriage due to exceptionalists, which doesn't make much sense.

"In a statement, former FCC Commissioner Michael Copps said the decision 'is poised to end the free, open, and uncensored Internet that we have come to rely on.' He added: 'Without prompt corrective action to reclassify broadband, this awful ruling will serve as a sorry memorial to the corporate abrogation of free speech.'"

We basically have a choice between AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast depending on the area you live in and they're all shit and there's a good chance your connection gets throttled at certain points of the day for seemingly no reason.

On a side not I drove by a construction on the side of the road with a sign before hand that  read "utility work" and they were fiddling around with the power, phone, cable lines, etc.
And how!

I've read that had the ruling gone the other way, the FCC would basically have unlimited power to "regulate" the internet though.

I'm sure that doesn't really matter when some members of the FCC have worked in the private sectors in positions in these telecommunication companies.
And how!

What is the meaning of freedom in USA? Protection of rights and freedom for common townsfolk or freedom for those who make money (companies)?
