High ping problem - 300k reward

My normal ping should be below 60, but these days it isn't. In fact I have different pings on different servers and it always seem to be changing from time to time. It also seems to be pretty unstable. 65 first, 67-68 a couple of minutes later, going high to 103 and then 67 again. Some thing gotta be happening.

I know it is not normal, cause I remember I had 51 like a month ago. Just help me to raise it lower. I want to be able to play normally. Anything below 60 ping is really fine for me.

Just babysit me through the necessary steps and earn 200k. If you provide some useful help, I can also offer you 50k. I would offer more, but I want to play the game with the equipment I worked hard to get.

By the way, what are the IP adresses of the servers? I opened cmd and used the tracert command for the "www.crpg.net", but I doubt it is the same IP for servers.

Your ping is just such a fickle mistress, It could be anything that's effecting it.  If you have too much coaxial cable around your router and modem it can cause it,  if you have a long ethernet cord it can effect it, there's so many variables it's pretty hard to narrow it down to one specific thing.  I would try some of the quick easy fixes first before you go looking server side.

Also we are all friends here no need for money if someone has the knowledge I'm sure they would be fine helping you for free  :D

No need for that, I know very well how frustrating having ping issues is.
Fun fact, on last sunday when I had lower ping on NA servers after tracing VisualRoute that my isp is connecting me with servers through NA, it's a bit funny as I live in Poland.

When I have high ping, I restart or disconnect my internet and then reconnect it. It usually helps.

I've had ping problems multiple times, how I fixed them:

First time was about 3 days in a row I had 100+ unstable ping(I'm usually around 30) and I ended up finding out that the local distribution center was being upgraded, fixed once their upgrades were done.

Second time it was that my cables in the ground got effected by snow thawing in the day then freezing at night during a spring. It ended up busting the cable from the pressure of the ice. After spring and it was warm from then on everything was fine

Third time my router ended up being too weak for the rest of my system( everything was about 10mb but the router was 1mb max), once I replaced it everything was fine. I even went from 40 to 32 for average ping.
We're all nerds here, so it doesn't really matter.

I have been experiencing this kind of problems for over a year now.
Today I could not play with any satisfaction as my ping was above 150. I read this thread and I would like to add my tracing results. I used Visual Route and it looks like this:
There are 5 points (routers?) in Poland that my connection goes through. Average ping is from 30 to 40. Then it is rises to 148-156 in Frankfurt and then to 158 in G-Portal.de Game HQ.
Other games work well so I guess it is the matter of server.

I'll check! thanks a lot! My offer is still valid, if you want 50k.

Hmm, here's my trace root, if it's going to be of any use:

Maybe someone could make some basic explanations of high ping, lag and rubberbanding.

Sometimes (more often on NA than EU where I live) I swing straight through people and sometimes people hit me without me seeing it on screen. My ping is low on EU and one of the lowest for a EU player on NA.

Am I lagging or just having the effect of high ping? Or is this the same issues?

A high ping has different reasons. I never experience it myself, but it seems a lot of you guys do.

First, distance is important, if you use wifi, the best thing to do is have your pc in the same room as your router. Even better is using a cable directly connected to your router, don't use any hubs or switches. There are different kind of cables, i recommend a normal TP-cable, but if you want to be sure other network/electricity cables don't interferrence with your cable, buy a STP.

next thing to do is have a look at your network. How many users are sharing your internet connection? and how intensive? downloading, streaming and uploading is a huge pain for your ping.

an other reason for a high ping is your ISP. Maybe their network is experiencing heavy use or something else.

sometimes releasing your IP helps, just go with cmd -> ipconfig /release and to reenable it -> ipconfig /renew. i also clear my dnscache -> ipconfig /flushdns

In your router itself you can specificaly set privileges for each device connected to your network.

a last common reason is a bad configured firewall, anti-virus, malwarescanner or a kind of virus/infection itself.

Hope it helps.

ps: tracert won't give much information, i'm 99% sure the servers are okay :)
