But that's likely before the period this game likes to think it's in. North America had plenty of wooden armour, but crpg hates Native Americans.

You have no idea how long I have been waiting for a reason to post these.

"I am sorry, chief Runs-Like-Water. We will have to use wood armor. All of our metal was consumed crafting these dope ass ritual daggers."

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

Wood is good for shields - it is cheap, blocks or weakens projectiles and weapons get stuck in it. Not that good for body armour, though, especially if metal is available.

I understand that, however, I though that, since metal armor was not exactly cheap, It would make good armor for militias and drafted peasants.

Ofc nobody would wear any kind of wooden armor (besides shields) if they could purchase metal one, but I would think that wooden armor would be bit more resistant than leather one (because while resistant to slashes, it can be easily stabbed throught).

It was used.

However in europe coat of plates, chain mail, Leather/studded leather and padded cloth armour were more popular amongst soldiers. I imagine that a few poorer people probably made a "coat of plates" of sorts with wood instead of metal.

In any part of the world where steel/iron was in short supply alternatives were found.
PK is back

PK is a collection of elites from throughout modern and ancient history. Giants of Calradia individually, as a group these gods of combat shatter all expectations and ascend to a higher plain of victory that only a few have seen before.
