My first character render. Never have done anything with people much beyond line drawings and those are mostly primitive at best. Plenty of things need work but nearly every aspect of it was experimental in some way and I still have to gain more than a casual proficiency of basics of lighting like ambient occlusion, sub-surface scattering, bouncing light, and highlights/reflections. The 2nd piece I am working on now in this set will give me more practice at that with much more defined lighting in an enclosed area so that all of the above will come into play. Not to mention it is an action shot and so will be more interesting than this one. The 3rd piece that I've only done the composition for takes place outdoors and is also an action piece. It will have some visible lighting elements too, but mainly it will allow me to work on my linear, atmospheric and planar perspective. It takes place at night and so it will be a bit difficult to work on color perspective but I have some lighting ideas that should let me do that too. I work slowly plus I have a full time job and am in college as well, but I'll get the more interesting ones posted eventually and hopefully the progression will be evident
