How do you really feel about the instastab?

Holding a no-shield polearm thrust while ganking/group fighting and releasing it as soon as someone turns, changes a block, or attacks is by far the cheapest. The point from release to impact seems almost instant as long as you are holding your attack in advance and crap like the spears and awlpikes do so much damage. I'm just a hybrid 2hand/lancer with 100 WPF in polearms but yesterday I decided to give the light lance on foot a go, and I was tearing it up moreso than I do with most other classes. 1-2 shot killsteal just about anyone, really easy sweetspot, great reach, and the damage(!).

As everyone has seen in EU, the top players in strat tend to be awlpikers anyways. Not a coincidence.

In recent  NA battles, Jack1_of_Frisia or me top the scoreboards very consistently. We both always play cav/infantry hybrids. 2hand or lance cav I do very good with both, but I definitely get more points as lance cav because you can hit more targets, though often less kills.

I have to admit the NA skill level for infantry is really fucking poor compared to EU, but we have better/more aggressive cav players for sure.

Besides a few notable horseranged EU cav is really poor, most of the few not completely shit lancers we had also quit along with GK.

worse infantry than EU?  i will wisit NA today than huehue hue, when i start to do well on eu everyone takes some sort of spears ( i am 2h cav)

Imo stabs should glance a bit more, especially for ppl with low ps

1h stab has completely changed the game into a down blocking simulator.
2h stab is a little bit improved over the previous lolstab bs, however the estoc is pretty homoerotic if you ask me.
3h/polearm is a bit funky. Awpikes and the sort are devastating and break the sound barrier. Overheads with most polearms feel instant as well.  However, the bamboo spear feels like I am trying to stab someone with a stack of cotton balls.
I also still do not grasp the physics behind horseback lance stabbing even though I've played the game for over two years now.
