Don't see why you need the crouch though, we all ready have the weapon trick to get low.

It could make crosshair smaller aka increase your accuracy and  allow you to hide behind lower objects, tho this would buff ranged.

Wouldn't add that much functionality honestly and I am kind of out of convenient buttons around WASD. Call it an official vote all you want but I doubt that the devs are going to add it with the current dev cba level and the potential for crouching to have some undesired side effects. You make it sound like it is a matter of flicking the 'crouch enable' switch, but it is not. It actually requires dev attention and this mod gets very little.

not to mention the devs have a penchant for fucking new stuff up entirely, (1h stab, kick, nudge) and then not fixing it for several months, they'd probably implement something like "when you crouch it sends out a shockwave which knocks all nearby enemies to the ground and does 50 hp damage"
