Are there any viable builds for 2hcav/2hinfantry?

Also, what's the best weapon(aside from morningstar, I refuse to use it) to use?

it's awesome I played this for a while on an alt, you are like rich, right? if you got loomed shit with this build your a raging machine, if you are higher level you could up some shield skill if you'd like, maybe more IF if you desire so, or you can go for 27 str though I don't know if the calc is still up to date here are some things I personally dig

35 is just impossible to reach

I think 2h with shield also uses 2h wpf? i'm not sure though, been a long time. but morningstar and longsword on HB together is murder the longsword's reach is surprising sometimes

Why 28 strength on your lvl 35 build? Better transform that one point into more IF and always max out WM.

I am also making a 2h cav alt atm.

Going for 21/15 at lvl 30:

7 IF
7 PS
5 ATH
5 Riding
5 WM

Should be pretty nice.

24/15 looks like a fucking wrecking ball, i'll have to test it.

Also, 2h with shield uses 1h wpf

At level 30? sounds like an odd build.

So many builds to try now, thanks guys :)

(But please feel free to pop in and give some tips/advice, i've never tried 2h cav before.)

If you are 2h cav and you aren't using a morningstar ur doing it wrong. Longsword is the second best, I guess.

But yeh, 24/15 is the gayest most op best 2h cav build imo.
I'm sorry I hurt your feelings cmp, I would feel pretty bad too if I was a useless no life virgin who spent his adulthood making video games LOL
its ok though, now i have more time to - all the posters i dont like

I use a MW Heavy Bastard Sword, Destrier, medium-heavy armor, and a brown lion heater shield for when there are ranged shooting at me.

Level 30 -- 66 hp

Strength:        21
Agility:         15

Skill to attr:    2

Power Strike:     7
Ironflesh:        5
Athletics:        5
Riding:           5
Weapon Master:    4
Shield:           3

Two Handed:       125

It's awesome on foot and even better on horseback. Just remember if you use your shield with your HBS on horseback you will do less damage with your sword. Sheath the shield if you want to do immense damage, but it still can deal quite a bit with the shield. Definitely enough to kill archers with if you time it right.

You can't really out reach anyone if you're going head on so you need to be sneaky or get guys who are occupied. If someone knows you're coming it's best to pull out, but if you must charge slow down a bit to throw their timing off then speed up and wack em.

"Immense damage" with HBS is less than 30c with or without a shield. With a shield it uses 1H wpf which you don't have and that's why you deal less damage in that mode. People overestimate the power of 2H cav because it looks far stronger than it is. The fact is 1H cav deals more damage with swords, can spam 2H cav to death and can use a shield. 2H is perfectly viable, but not as strong as 1H.

Phi! who cares when you can have 9 PS on horseback whilst riding a fucking TANK with 9 PS swinging some Morningstar, or whatever, around!

come on, man! Individuality is something to consider! jest around with a couching stick and you are THE muthafuckin' knight, whilst on foot you are just a str crutcher, with 5 Ath, you'll wreck with this! who needs IF or WM when you are a Knight in shiny overpowered armour, crutching 9PS like mad AND having a beast to ride on, you can even carry a shield to ward of arrows.

It's AMAZING!

the 9 PS is just for personal epeen, who can say "I have 9 PS on horseback"!

i've played this too, play mainly as 2h cav and take the bow out when the situation requires so, one bag of arrows is not alot you see! though with this I really advice playing with loomed equipment otherwise you'll be as useless as a.. can't quite figure what would be as useless, though you will irritate people to death!

My current build:
Lvl32
24/15
8 PS
8 IF
5 Riding
5 Athletics
3 WM
112 Wpf in 2H

Takes a lot of punishment in heavy (and/or) mw gear...
I use a mw longsword for the reach, just switch between 2h and polemode for some extra pierce dmg

And by the way, you can just take a hunting xbow and bolts with you if you encounter ha/hx/pikers...

"Immense damage" with HBS is less than 30c with or without a shield. With a shield it uses 1H wpf which you don't have and that's why you deal less damage in that mode. The fact is 1H cav deals more damage with swords, can spam 2H cav to death and can use a shield. 2H is perfectly viable, but not as strong as 1H.

Never thought of it that way, I didn't think wpf could affect damage so much. I did test on an unarmored opponent I was getting an average of 120 damage and without the shield it was 150. IMO I think it adds an extra penalty onto your already penalized two hander on horseback if you have a shield equipped. But you could be right.
