coupling WPF to agi is one of the most illogical things ever in c-rpg. And that's saying something.

I know this is not about "reality" - but in this case the analogy works. Proficiency with a weapon comes from experience ("levels") and is earned by training (putting points into "wm").

Adjusting how WP affects your combat efficiency: great, was (and is...) needed.
Encouraging even more agi whores: *facepalm*
Better: keep a few points per level as before and make WM a standalone stat (NOT dependend on agi) and give more WPF via WM.

Besides that: thanks for the symbolic archery buff (we archers are humble dogs and lick your feet for the most tiny of morsels, as long as we do not get beaten with a stick as usual...). The adjustment for high pd however was very "slight" indeed (AKA hard to notice at all...)

Heavy Lance still sucks compared to what it used to be. Expensive as hell as well. :P

how to balance this is a different story - but how well someone knows how to handle a weapon depends mostly on training, not on one physical stat. Plus I do not see a problem with that build - agi or balanced builds would still be faster.

Thanks devs for the free respec only 400,000 away from lvl 31 on this gen and was gonna change my build for this character but now i don't have to retire lvl 32 here i come

Heavy Lance still sucks compared to what it used to be. Expensive as hell as well. :P
However at high lvl 18/21 you can use it with 170 wpf and it's low speed is being strongly enhanced by wpf.

Heavy lance works best for dedicated pole-cav with quite big amount of wpf and lance works best for high level hybrid cav 18/21 with 150 in 1h and 126 in polearms (values should be accurate). Higher speed of lance compensates the lower wpf which also means that str-lance-cav like 24/15 or even 27/15 is pleasant to play.

Giving heavy glance +1 to stab dmg was a good step forward. Now you can see that that nerf long time ago that took away 3pierce on stab was followed by 2 buffs of heavy lance - each one giving it +1 to stab dmg. This shows that heavy lance didn't need this strong nerf that time.

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.

I kind of agree.

but why not delete wpf for melee completely and slightly nerf speed bonus?
many attribute points into AGI: more speed bonus when moving, better acceleration
many attribute points into STR: more base dmg, more hitpoints, more potential armor
balanced attribute points: balanced
if you want to be hybrid melee/ranged, you'll have to get WM.
problem solved.

just a thought.

just to best your analogy (anal lol  :mrgreen:)

dude a works out every day lifting weights.  he eats and lifts heavy things and eats again,  and he can kill you by just sitting on you.

dude b works out every day.  but he also trains his combat skills.  he becomes strong,  but never at cost of his technique training.

dude c is jet lee.  he does his crazy fast fighing shit,  has a high str/bodywheight ratio but if it comes to hurt guy a,  he rly needs sth pointy or otherwise dude a wont feel the punch go through his fat.

so,  just aside of this working great for crpg -   its kinda true in reality as well.

It's 1 less pierce from what it was before it got mega-nerfed (when some people stopped using it).  I traded my heavy lance away for a lance at that point, just finally traded back for it.
