weak armor

My build is 27/12, I have 9 IF, I wear 65 armor head, 79 armor body and 73 armor legs. And what I want to say I die in four-five hits of rondel my old friends, 1-2 arrows inda head (seems ranged shoot me inda head more often then in my body), 3-5 hits of left swing of 1h spammers, 2-3 hits of awlpike and I fall down on every second hit of knockdown weapons. I DON'T FEEL A TANK MYSELF(((

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.

Yup heavy armor is a lousy choice in this mod.

4 hits? Wow, you survived pretty long! That armor totally paid off!

Jokes aside, well you see...

Rondel dagger is of shape that was made especially to pierce armor. Contrary to the popular belief, Dagger is actually one of best bets to punch through armor.

It is not the dagger that is overpowered, but the speed that their users posses.

I would like to see a limit to athletics soon.

Actually you'd use the rondel to finish a wounded/knocked down man in armor, not when he's standing around hitting you, since hitting the weak points with that dagger would be a bitch.

Every time someone says anything about the rondel, someone else comes along and talks about how it was some sort of god weapon that can put a hole through layered steel after being thrusted with one hand. Fair enough; its a weapon designed to puncture the weak points of plate armor. That's the realism side. Now lets talk about the game balance side.

First of all ... a weapon's stats should coordinate with its price. The rondel should be ~3,000 in the shop for the stats it has.

Second ... why does its (alternate mode) swing have pierce damage?

Third ... why does the rondel get 34p when at +3? Almost all weapons follow the same scheme, one point of damage per loom, but the rondel seems to be an exception and gets +2 damage at Elder.

There's my little rant on rondels, I really am getting sick of deli-cap warriors with indestructible shields and magic daggers instagibbing armored horses. Hopefully a patch in the future will change this weapon.

If heavy armor were much more effective, costs would probably have to go up even more because of how valor works + it rendering all cut weapons useless.

Rondel is already getting nerfed.

A bunch of "Elder's" weapons get +4 damage at +3.

Even if it were 15,000 gold, 3/39 rondel users still would still earn plenty of gold, though it would deter its use with non-agi stacked builds.

I think heavy plate armors must cost more maybe like 100000 gold, but have more protection from arrows, not bolts and from cut not pierce

Your post sounds like it's helping. You can only take so many really powerful attacks, and your head will be quite weak compared to other areas of your body unless you use gothic plate with bevor.

The dagger itself is not op, skillcaps are.
