Ping Higher in CRPG (NA)?

I'll make this quick so there's no tldr.
Before I say anything though - Yes, I know how pings work.


I have screenshots from April 2012 until today, and my ping then averaged around 48 to NA1/NA2
Now my ping to NA1/NA2 has risen to an average of around 68
However, when I use various ping test websites and test my ping to Chicago and surrounding areas (where the NA servers are), I get results similar to my 2012 screenshots - around 48 ping.

Just to confirm, servers are still in Chicago right?

TLDR
Used to get 48 average ping to NA servers
These days get average 68 ping to NA servers
Ping tests to NA server locations still show average ping of 48

I am not looking to rant and flame or anything of the sort, just curious about what it could be and if others are having the same issues.

- Is this a cRPG netcode thing that has gotten bogged down over time?

- Do the rest of you get rather lower pings to the location of the cRPG servers you play on when you test it to that location outside of game?

It's probably your ISP routing you threw an additional hop or two so they can make money/because they're retarded. Do a tracert and see if the routing is wonky(ex. sending you to three states away when you live in Wisconsin). If it is, call your isp, ask for a higher-up, proceed with bitching.

Final step: Complain more because nothing gets done.

Yeah that's my thinking too - even if I found something jenky not like they are going to fix it lol...

This mod on NA i get the lowest ping than any other mods most times

So far the poll is showing a lot of players getting 10-20+ higher pings in cRPG than when they test pings to servers in the same location...

I get 40-45 on speed test sites. In CRPG my ping has gone down from 31 to 28 and almost never changes (unless my wireless signal gets weak).

But then I get this terrible delay/inconsistency in animations. I get hit while shielding, hit people who are shielding. Player models will twitch between stances that have nothing to do with what they are actually doing. Sometimes it lasts all night and makes me not want to play at all. Ping and FPS are both fine during the problem.
