Game doesn't look too scary to me, it just looks like an amazing survival game that I will be trying.

That's the whole thing about horror. Mind you I don't play too long that way but it IS the way to play.

I don't enjoy fear/shock even in little bits. I like spicy food that other people might not like because it hurts, though.

Why do people like mental torture

because it´s fun
this is the best example for it: Some friends let the most scared dude play a scene from "Condemned 2", one of the best scary-gameplays I enjoyed so far
and he dies so friggin often, he makes every mistake you can possibly make in that small level
"That´s not a normal bear! Thats, like, a jaw-sized bear!"
"Dude, you wanna play instead?"

Trailer 3 wasn't as good as the other 2 IMO, but that's just because it seemed more like a gameplay demo than a trailer to me, which I was hoping to avoid with this game. The first two trailers just had me like "oh shit man I can't wait to play this game and see what it has in store", but they just showed me most of what it has in store. Not saying it looks bad but they just ruined the suspense for me :(, oh well still gonna play the shit out of this.

Also, them feels when his son is sleeping in the plane, knowing that he's probably dead considering what the game consists of. like dis if u cry evry time

yeah the AI looked a little sloppy here. but the trailers were so well made and hype inducing that disappointment is inevitable.

That video does not at all capture the situations Kafein was referring to though. They are playing the game together while talking, also, that game isn't the scariest of games. Kafein was referring to people playing scary games alone, with volume turned up and the lights out. Which is not gonna make you laugh, because you are alone, so it's basically just scary. I don't get why someone would do that either with actual horror games. I don't get what is fun about horror movies or games in general. Getting frightened is about as pleasant as stabbing yourself wth a knife, no reason whatsoever to subject yourself to that. This game doesn't seem so bad in that regard though, it seems extremely atmospheric and intense, which I can dig. But a game with scripted jumpscares, I really do not get it.
