1h weapons and wich to use

Im going 1h next gen and  im going to have the this armor

its a heavy armor set for 1h but I think it will be good

Gauntlets
Iron Greaves
Heavy heater shield

And I don't know what 1h I would like to use im kinda sticking to the medieval kind of style like war hammers, swords, stuff like that like the Templars would carry or something.

or if you have a better armour choice for me I will be glad I am suggesting a style kind of like the clan Acre

so yeah any help would be appreciated AND DONT FORGET TO POST THE BUILDS!

Instead of round shield ill upgrade the shield to the heavy heater shield

you are going to be really slow and people will abuse the fuck out of kick on you if you dont have a long reach 1h. so pick something with 100+ reach. Long Espada is always fun.

If you're going to invest in a +3 weapon, you might as well use an unloomed one first and see if you like the gameplay

You are not obligated to carry an overly long one-handed weapon.

What you've got to do is adjust your playstyle based upon the length of the weapon you decide to use. If you're a shielder in heavy armour, you aren't going to be chasing anyone with more than 6 athletics down. If they relentlessly press their S-key, have the presence of mind to just WALK THE FUCK AWAY. If you're using a long weapon, sometimes you can catch a moderately (at best) damaging blow to them, but often they'll still just be a pure headache to fight. You're going to give yourself a much harder time than is needed by chasing people that want to run away from you. Fight with your teammates, try to block them from ranged and if they get knocked down or ganged up on. It's always very nice to put your shield in-between a disadvantaged teammate and danger.

But for god's sake, don't get in the way of someone dueling or a situation in which your guys already have the advantage. And whatever you do, don't stand directly behind any melee players holding your shield up. It'll prevent them from overheading and get them fucked.

I've always loved my Knightly Arming Sword (Long Arming sword has same stats, but weaker stab, and cheaper).  It's kind of expensive, and I'd suggest having AT LEAST 6 powerstrike (7 or more is preferred).  Also I'd recommend using a lighter shield (1 slot), something like a knightly heater shield (which I use).  Has very high resistance "armor", very fast, and the coverage has never been an issue for me.

Warhammer all the way dude, it WRECKS shit

I go 21/15 build wise, with a hand pavise and heavy kuyak
Makes me slow and I have zero reach, but with 7ps+knockdown i kill what I hit
 
A more agi based build would suit the warhammer just fine, the base dmg on the hammer make up for less ps and the extra speed really helps with the short reach.

Ofcourse with the new WPF changes and shit,  idk if 21/15 would still be viable,

Long Arming Sword is 1 less cut, not 1 less pierce. I prefer the Long over Knightly as the 1c difference is easily overcome by held attacks and sweetspot timing, while having much lower repair. That lower price means you can take a secondary (or use the LAS as secondary) weapon like a mace/pick to deal with armour, while having the sword to deal with cloth/backpedalers.

I actually like Knightly Arming Sword with my 24-18 build and I do recommend getting a long weapon if you use high str build.

Spathion is like improved version of KAS, it has 2 more stab damage (3 if masterworked) but 1 less speed.
What bothers me about it though is the dark look which probably means it'd be easier for enemies to block its swings. Can anyone confirm/refute it? Would be nice to hear some opinions.
