1h build w/Niuweidao

I was wanting to go 1h next gen so whats a good Niuweidao 1h build?

the whole build with all the shield stuff posted I just want a general idea of what I should go for

Beginner help guides is the best place to ask...but still there are so many options it's hard to advise you!

It's a fast weapon, so going with agi and high wpf would maximize that aspect...but it has decent damage so it would work for a str build too I think.

Do you want a shield or just 1h?

I would recommend either 15, 18, 21, or 24 str and either 15, 18, or 21 agi. 

Edit: I suggest you let us know what kind of playstyle and tactics you like to use, and we can get a better idea of what build would suit you.

he has a 18/18 build would that be good for a build and balanced?

18/18 is a fantastic shielder build.  At the same time the brown lion heater only requires 3 shield skill so you can get away with more str if you like.

This is what I would suggest:  As you level up make a 18/15 build and then play with it a bit and ask yourself: "Do I wish I had a little more speed or a little more damage?"  Then you know what to do with your last points.

I think 18/18 is a fantastic build for my play style and im going with a lower armor route so I think the extra agility to make it 18/18 will be pretty usefull thanks for responding

Id go with 18/21 or even 15/24 if u use held attacks alot. Im doing quite alright in melee with a 15 str xbow alt and a niuweidao and around 80 wpf.

my light armor set up is this straw hat, padded jack, leather gloves, ankle boots

im doing a farmer theme  so if any suggestions with a full build with all the skill points and stuff into it ill be glad to try it out

If you are new here, have unloomed shield and your manual block isn't good maybe it would be wise to put a few more points into shield skill. But if you're not afraid of playing without a shield 4 shield skill is enough. 3 isnt - it's hard to find shield with 3 difficutly on the battlefield when your previous one breaks.

Take sth heavier, at least mail shirt with fur though I'd advice sarranid guard armor and RP arabian terrorist IF you definitely want to stick with crappy gear go for 21-18 build.

Since you are wearing such light armor, you could go 24/15 and still be faster than 90% of other players. Then again, something like 18/21 would be scary fast (I'm 18/21 in medium armor, and I feel pretty fast). Don't bother with Ironflesh, str 2h users will one-shot you regardless. Just max PS and ATH (and probably WM), then get 3-5 shield skill.

Niuweidao is a good weapon; my best suggestion is to overhead a lot. People have a hard time blocking 1h overheads.

You always want to maximize power strike and athletics. Brown lion is arguably the best 3-difficulty shield, but I would be wary of crossbow users since that shield is susceptible to piercing. If you aren't used to shields, I would recommend a 4-5 difficulty shield with a decent armor rating such as the heavy round, elite cav, or knightly heater.

21/18 is quite good if you're going to be wearing light armor anyways.
