Naming Looms

I'm not sure how easy this would be to implement but wouldn't it be cool if you could name your loomed gear? Make it feel unique to yourself, once the item has been traded then ofc a name change would be accepted.
However I know if this did happen there would be a lot of 'dildo's' and 'giant penis'' on the battlefield.

So basically you want to get killed by a 'giant penis' from player 'dildo_lover_hardcore' ?
I think you are in the wrong forum

As neat as it would be, you'd have no idea what an item is called unless you kill a guy, go to pick up his weapon and meet the requirements for said weapon.  So naming armor is automatically out, and no one will ever see the names of shields, bows and throwing.  I like fun things but this is pointless.

I agree with this but I just think it would be a fun idea, something a bit more amusing than 'Masterwork...' for example. And think about how much fun you could have naming a horse! Everyone can see horses whatever their riding skill  :D

Yes, been posted before. Rather than practicing swinging a weapon, it would be better to go 1 hander and learn a martial art that specializes in takedowns, because that's all that really matters in that sport.

I can see it now:

I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

I like the idea. It would significantly increase the number of lols in the game. However, I don't think it's possible. Item names are probably hardcoded into the engine and variations would require seperate item classes. The item list would need to be updated and downloaded constantly and would be impossible to keep synced between server and clients.
