What Coop game you recommend for playing with a friend ?

You might or might not have had those moments, when you just want to play a nice coop game with one friend or maybe two; not one of those stressfull,boring and repetetive MMOs or shooters like cRPG, or those ego-boosting  single player whore games ... just having some nice and private gaming experiance with a good friend. Yet i cant find anything i could really dig into atm 8(

So, im looking for ideas in this regard. Tell me the coop game, you had the most fun when playing with a friend. Perhaps , adding some specifics about it, like how its about the replayability , or its pace would be nice - im not necessarily looking for something fast paced or challenging, just something enjoyable  ... or what it is , that makes the game different than others.

Im thankfull for any input or suggestion =)

Other ideas: Payday, Path of Exile, GW2. I heard a lot about Terraria but didn't get into it myself yet

Oh, i totally forgot about trine, thanks for that suggestion! .. eventhough i played a bit of the first sequel and loved it. But i played it solo and didnt really think about the coop option. I bet its alot of fun!

Replayability varies from person to person, some may enjoy, some wouldn't.

I know that's not something you wanted.

Portal 2 is great for casual co-op. Almost unlimited amounts of new puzzles in to community workshop.

Borderlands #1, Portal is awesome, Trine 2 and Terraria for relaxation, Quite enjoyed Dead Island too with m8s

I feel like I repeat myself a lot, but Icewind Dale I&II and Baldur's Gate I&II.

Also, Payday 2 and Magicka and Terraria and Forced and Borderlands (2) and Saint's Row and Total War games and Endless Space.

EDIT: I'm currently playing Icewind Dale 1 in co-op with a friend and it works really well. Baldur's Gate suffers from a slightly too uneventful open world. But the more linear style of progress in Icewind Dale is perfect for some awesome old-school co-op crpg action. Loving every second of it.

FORCED. Love this little action/puzzle game. Good niche game for players who like to mix brains and mechanical skill.

It's pretty challenging at times though, might be frustrating for casual players.

Settlers 3 (we would have played it a lot but our network always failed, but that's near to 10 years ago^^)

Rayman M (better with 4 players or more though)
Arcanum (it was fun together but items were always lost after one session while level/stats stayed, so it's amazing if you plan to play for many hours straight!)

LOTR War in the North was a great COOP game. Played whole way through w/ 2 of my buddies. I think most of the bad reviews came from people who did the single player mode.
