Oh you NA... I guess you buy gas and then just pour some on the ground and light it on fire for fun cause it's so cheap, huh?
Sure, I drive a truck. But I use that truck to haul soil, mulch, concrete, paving stones, trees, bushes and other plants, lumber, my riding lawn mower when I take it in for tune-ups, new furniture/appliances when I replace my older stuff, entire households when my friends or relatives move (mostly my kids lately), haul bicycles to various parks and trails in the 9286 square miles of the DFW area (you can't just ride to all the cool trails, especially to the various state parks within a couple of hours drive from the house), haul my canoes and tow my jet ski to the various lakes on the weekends, etc. Sure, you can do
some of those things with a car, but not all of them and even those that you can do require more trips than putting it all in the bed of the truck. The German exchange student asked why Texans had trucks when she first got here. After spending a month with us and seeing all the things I haul around and do, she was like "Ahh, now I see".
