@skeletzo: Long Axe and Long War Axe are pretty similar in the matter of strengh and value, one is faster, other one is slower but +reach and dmg.
The only little downside of Long War Axe is the higher upkeep, like I said, for me they're same valuable on the battlefield.

@skeletzo: Don't think so, paid exactly 2lp if I remember right.

I took a look at your offers, they're not equal.
1lp 400k (2lp 125k) =/= 600k (2lp 50k)
Depends how long you want to wait, both offers are okay and if you want to trade your Long Axe for it, I would request +20-40k beside the spear.

If you already own a +3 weapon and body armor, you really should buy +3 hand armor next
It gives you the same armour bonus by loom-lvl like body armours (except leg armor which isn't that important)
Good thing about hand armor is, you just need one, like Mail Gauntlets, it fits almost to every body armour
