It is time to offer a counter for new 1h+shield to not only STR stackers, but the builds that get basically onehit by a 5PS 1h stab and do really require unbalancer help ...
Screw shieldbreakers ... they cant deal with the "new meta".
Just give it me, or i will cry all night   :cry:

While I can say daggers are crazy.  I still do not agree with 1h stab being too powerful.  I can agree that we need to re-balance 1h weapons though.

While I can say daggers are crazy.  I still do not agree with 1h stab being too powerful.  I can agree that we need to re-balance 1h weapons though.

1h stab is totally fine with me , for pure 1h ... they area dangerous class now- everythinbg that feels good, is good .. in gaming world, in my eyes.
1h+shield is a totally different matter though, they benefit from 1h buff and are deadly now too .. like "scary deadly" for everyone else on the field ... offer a propper counter to it ( aka CT) is a logical consequence, especially for classes that cant survive more than 1-2 hits ... which was  btw perhaps not intended by those players, when they build their char, it emerged from later balance patches...

Shielders have the more counters than any other class except cavalry perhaps.

The only reason I disagree with your logic with shielders is because they give up a decent amount of speed and skillpoints to use that shield in the first place.

I find 1h users with no shield more frustrating and dangerous than any shielder if you want to consider stabs.  Although, the stab did make shielders with shorter weapons more potent, it makes sense in general for a short weapon to be powerful up close. (Excluding silly ones)

1h stab was given the "Buff" it needed.  They just need to figure things out with the balance of weapons now.  (I personally think lowering the pierce damage of most swords will fix this)

Not by much, but enough to make picks a choice over shortswords.

Just swiming with the wave , doesnt necessarily get you to the solid ground , ya know ;P

well, we have different opinions then about fighting it seems.. i do appreciate a a good fight where i knnow , that the other guy commits to a risk sometimes ...

If they aren't steel shielders you can include xbowies in the list of counters.
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.
