My grandfathers father was a cool dude called Evergistus. I didn't know how it was written correctly, so I accidently typoed it as Everkistus.

Quite an unique nick, never had to contest it.

I used to be lame as fuck and use the name "Slaymen" but then me and my friends decide to have piratey knife fights on AS_Oilrig in CS and then we made the Matey clan.. at first it was 1st Matey, 2nd Matey, 3rd Matey and so on and we got other people joining in and running around knifing fools...  and then it was Captain Matey and Kamikaze Matey and Drunken Matey and we found the mod PVK (Pirates, Vikings & Knights) and so we played that together and ended up recruiting a buncha other people like Aaaargh! Matey and Yar Matey and Molotov Matey and so on... and then we kinda dominated that game for awhile and then they patched it and added a bunch of stuff but also making it more serious and less fun and we slowly stopped playing it and the rest of the Mateys ended up with various other names and so as the only Matey in the other games I was playing everyone would just call me Matey so I just dropped the Drunken except when some other asshole has stolen Matey in which case I add Drunken back.

I was always interested in the Polish faction in Medieval 2 Total War. There was one unit that just sticked out. It was called Strzelcy. Strzelcy started as my alt as a role playing character but I like the character and I change my main to Strzelcy.

Too bad in russian it totally sounds like "Questor" which is stupid, cuz it doesn't have anything to do with any quests, so I gave it up.
I'm pretty sure that the word the Romans used in latin was Quaestor, which pronouces like Questor, so the Russian prononciation is not stupid, just accurate.

Pressed some keys, some consonants with a vowel. Literally the first thing I typed out when I had to make a character for cRPG. Liked how it might be slightly annoying to die to someone with a name similar to grumble and it reminded me of Grimey from The Simpsons

Angantyr, 'Tallest of the twelve sons of the berserker Arngrim, and he and his eleven brothers spread fear and destruction through the North', and other of his line bearing his name in norse mythology (here amongst, perhaps, also a Gothic king fighting the Huns). Wielders of 'Tyrfing', a cursed blade made by the dwarven smiths Dvalinn and Durin on Svafrlami's Odin's grandson's bidding.

'Then he forced them to forge a sword with a golden hilt that would never miss a stroke, would never rust and would cut through stone and iron as easily as through clothes.
The dwarves made the sword, and it shone and gleamed like fire. However, in revenge they cursed it so that it would kill a man every time it was drawn and that it would be the cause of three great evils. They finally cursed it so that it would also kill Svafrlami himself
' - Hervararkviða and the Hervarar saga

Tyrfing became the bane of all of Angantyr's line.

In real life my first name is Struan, and Strudog somehow came about as a nickname for me at school and has stuck ever since, its the first ever gaming name i have ever had, never changed and i cant see myself doing it, its too unique that no one else will ever have it.

I actually changed my name to JackieChan after the last crpg char reset for some unknown reasons, before i was called Saladin.
On other games i tend to call myself simply Jackie or JackieScam (guess why) since JackieChan is common and now i prefer having my own unique name.

My first cRPG char was Keyoke, later known as Ninja_Keyoke, which was taken straight from Daughter of the Empire.

Back then you had to change your name when you retired and I really didn't want to go the route of Ninja_Keyoke_II, which looked stupid, so instead I came up with a new nick by slamming my hand on my keyboard and go something like this: khosgodn. I thought "Kho" was fine so I added an ending and got "Khorin".

I had read the books of A Song of Ice and Fire, and later remembered that he was a character(Qhorin) in the books, which is why I made an alt called Ninja_Qhorin. Few realized the connection until the TV series aired.

Then there's Corin, who is Conan's dad in the latest movie, so I made Corin the barbarian. Felt like I had to take Thorin last year. Then there's Chorin from Stargate: Atlantis (old woman called Churin). One day I was bored and made Ninja_Borin. And Ninja_Murphy made the obvious Ninja_Whorin.

Never really liked Khorin as a name and it's only used in cRPG. I have a general name that I use for practically all other games.

My zulu is called ShakaShah, and that's basically a combination of two words: Shaka, the king of Zulu and Shah meaning king of kings.
