Inb4 Call of Duty gets autoaim and calls it future war, which will have you kill some barely armed middle eastern dudes or russians.

There are things even more scary...

Watch the whole video for the 1.000.000 shots/minute clips
When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.

Yeah, except all those things are completely impractical, unlike that laser-aiming sniper rifle. It pretty much obsoletes sniper training?

Not really, the shooting is a pretty minor part of it. Important, sure, but it's been getting easier and easier for a long time now with technology. It focuses on a lot of things besides shooting, like concealment in different environments, counter-sniping, working with squads, observation, communication etc., not to mention that you'd still have to know how to shoot the conventional way, in case your hi-tech rifle malfunctions or you don't have access to one.

Well, yeah, i guess, but it still would allow even ordinary soldiers to make precise super-long-range shots and increase the accuracy of actual snipers.

An auto-aiming sniper rifle isn't going to change warfare, and most heavy vehicule weapons already have significant aiming assists.

in a way, this seems impractical
i didnt watch the entire video mind you

how much does it cost?  i doubt its cheap

like xant said, snipers will still need to be able to use a traditional rifle. that thing will break, snipers have access to various electronics to take most of the math out for shooting those long distances, but they are still taught how to do it all on just on pen&paper.
does that system only work with that particular weapon? can it work on a moving target?

while im no soldier, and have never seen combat, i doubt that the standard infantry are engaged in such long distances that this thing is designed for, so, why the hell would they need it?

meh, i just dont see the point, takes the fun out of practicing and improving your skills, in my eyes
You are a horrible human being clockwork.

The point is that it doesnt take months to train a sniper but just a couple of hours/days (including maintenance). If a weapon is easy to handle, you dont have to put a smartguy behind it to operate it but can hand it out to idiots as well and have a bunch of deadeye snipers.

Its like an ikea shelf for soldiers.

You should distinguish between a "sniper" and a "marksman." Nothing changes in regards to the former. The rifle can't account for wind either, so it's not that simple. You can see at 17:11 that they're not hitting what they're aiming at. And they fail with their shots when hunting the boars.

Also, that rifle will not fire until you've aligned your rifle perfectly. There are some pretty serious problems with that, unless it's really easy and quick to switch off. The technology's not robust enough yet either. Weight is another factor to consider, that setup looks heavy. And big. And what does the scope look like with the "auto-aiming" turned off: can you still use aim properly with it?
