When you make a new character you have 100 gold "starting gold" this can not be transferred.

If you go on the transfer menu, scroll down to gold - It says "Gold: [ ] of XXX,XXX" if you look at this number you will notice it's 100 gold lower then the gold listed in the character box (top left).

It's the same for STF, you get 100 "starting gold" and 10,000 STF gold which gives you a total of 10,100 non-transferable gold

Well that is what I assumed was meant by "gold on new characters."  Don't see why it needs to be said twice.

Making a character, leveling it to 15 and waiting 3 days just to get 100 gold.

Just think with only 10 characters, 150 (low) levels and 3-30 days you could get a whole 1,000 GOLD!!!

Thank god the devs stopped this madness before it could begin!

We had some accounts creating hundreds of characters before that restriction was put in place. By selling the new player gear it's also possible to make more than 100 gold.
