Time to get old school up in this bitch! My account is WITCHCRAFT on the US East ladder realm. I can help you quest or give waypoints as needed.

Before CRPG, Diablo II is the game I have probably spent the most time playing. However, I haven't really played it in about 5 years. I'm sure plenty of you have played it and might have CD keys sitting around. On a whim I reinstalled it. Here's some screenshots to give you that old loot-hunting itch.

I made an ethereal Breath of the Dying all on my own! I've had one in the past, but this one was made from scratch by myself. I used a war spike instead of a berserker axe (the OP choice) because I'm a special snowflake.

My necromancer has 42 minions at max. Dem bones. I wonder if Ahsab is unnerved by the immortal army of the dead shuffling all around him.

I broke a thing when I was entering the Secret Cow Level. Yes, there really is a secret cow level.

Useful links:
Runewizard - Select which runes you have collected, and the runewizard will display what runewords you can create, and which ones you are close to completing. Very useful. Always check it before you make a runeword, they need to be in the exact order shown or else your item will do jack shit (and you can't take the runes back out).

Items page from the official Blizzard website - Check out all the unique items in the game, learn how to craft items in the horadric cube, etc. The classes tab also explains each skill in depth and some have tips that might not be immediately apparent. There's also a character builder, so you can see how much damage your skills will do at a certain level or when you max them out.

Let's get a party together and go kill some demons! I'd be glad to level up a new character alongside you.

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

I also remembered how much I loved the little references about the fate of D1's characters.

Aidan becoming the dark wanderer, Blood Raven corrupted by Andariel as a restless undead, The sorcerer goes insane and becomes the Summoner, thinking he can control evil powers greater than him that overcome him.

Such a nice touch, evil's corrupting arms reach everywhere, there is no happy ending as an outcome when facing Diablo.

Back in the day I was really disappointed over Diablo II compared to Diablo I, but last year, and despite disliking grinding games a lot in general, I had some great sessions with a few friends using Gameranger, playing my first Skellymancer with corpse explosion, one of the most fun builds I've ever played in any crpg or diablo clone. Nothing beats commanding an army of ultra-pumped skeleton warriors on speed and killing enemies with gore and bone fragments of their dead friends whose cadaver gasses you've just ignited.

I had intended to grind some D2 last week. I guess the urge hit me too around the same time. Still, I'm unable to find a decent high resolution patch. Any idea how I can do that Hot Elf?

By the way, I'm so damn excited about Grim Dawn. That game will surely rock big time.

you forgot tristram!

One does not forget Tristram. Ever.

It's just mentioned way too often, thought I can go without naming it or posting the soundtrack

Oh man, the amount of hours I lost to this game, I think I only lost more to old school Ultima Online ( probably wasted more of my life on that game than any other 10 fold lol ).

I remember I was still a teenager when Diablo 2 came out, I played the fucking shit out of it. Back before the Cow level wasn't nerfed and you could grind xp in there, as long as you didn't kill the King Cow for that difficulty level of course. I fire this game up quite often and I get to a point where I realise playing alone is boring.
