You would think that most things moving, should move at least 1m per minute, I mean thats almost the speed of a normal built snail in ok terrrain. To move anything at the speed of 23cm/minute is amazing I think - some senior citizens driving wheelchairs in the mountains would make more time

i had 12k horses so its just bug in speed calculating
u can fix dat by pressing quick march, it boost my speed to 10m per minute

I had a same problem like that, two months ago or so. Moving with 6000~ troops and 6000~ crates or so, taking so much time to move even a meter distance. Giving half the equipment and troops did help. Though yeh, it seems to be a bug and needs to be fixed.

It happened to me on bridges couple of times, with +3k of troops, also could be fixed by QM.

I think its not a bug: the speed formula increase speed reduction the more troops you have, this coupled with increased troop weight when in rough terrain (forest, hills, and mountains), you have increase x increase = a slow and painful death.

Hold on. With 3000+ troops I had speed of around 20 on flat, 10 in forest and 0,3m on the bridge while with 2220 trops I reached 24 on flat  with 8,5 on the bridge. And you say its not a bug, but a feature?

If that is a feature it should be FIXED NOW!!! Being stuck on the bridge for 4 weeks aint' no funny, sir.

Read carefully. There is no matter in the amount of horses or moreover donkeys.

There are a few issues with the speed calculation, i'm not sure though if you would actually go faster with them fixed or not (it assumes you have more horses, but it also mixes up crates and number of goods in bonus and penalty calculations). The fix is part of strategus update #2 so we can't simply release it on its own.

It would be good if you could just put in some sort of minimum speed into the coding.
0.2m/m is just too slow for a game
