Add left hand/right hand option.

I know this is probably too deep in the guts of M&B for you chaps to do but...

Allow players to choose left handed option. I'm right handed, but I imagine some people are left hand and it would feel more natural for their character to hold their sword/bow with the left hand.

Also having horse archers who can shoot fwd,right, behind rather than fwd,left,behind would make things a bit more interesting. (SORRY FOR SUGGESTING SOMETHING THAT HA MIGHT LIKE!!!!) 

Just a thought. Maybe nobody who plays crpg is left handed, but I doubt it.

Too much work for too little pay off.  All of the ranged classes would more or less be the same.  1h would be effected the most, then pole arms, and very little difference for 2h.

Also, back in the day, being lefty could have gotten you labelled as a witch.  So you can just imagined all the left handed kids got killed or abandoned.

I can use both hands about equally good at everything (general stuff feels way more comfortable with my left hand though), I think it'd make for neat gameplay, but doing it for the sake of lefties and not more animations doesn't seem worth it.
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

Would be a nice adding. I am a leftie but for my model it is not that important to have a left handed character. You just live with it.
But there is a slight tactical point about left handed fighters.

Irl medieval time the stairs in a castle were all built in the same way (going clockwise upwards) so that right handed attackers can't make strong blows because of the spine of the stairs (hope the vocabulary fits here). So often a leftie was the first to attack upwards to be able to wield his sword without obstacles.

Of course buildings in crpg aren't blocking that realisticly but it would be a beginning to surprise an enemy by having a fast right-attack and a long reaching left-attack. (and ofc the HA thing mentioned before)

But I guess this is too much work to be implemented.

a skilled fighter or warrior was ambidex. picked left or right based on his opponent.

i write with left hand, kick football with right foot, throw with right hand, use right hand for mouse. i play left hand drums... yeah... we are weird :s
