Please remove autoscream

Each time you hold an attack for couple of seconds, your character automatically screams.
This was probably done for singleplayer bots to not fight in silence, but makes no sence here in cRPG since we can scream manually with q-q-v.
Please remove it, makes it much harder to do ambushes or any sudden attacks in general.

Yeah there's been times where I was sneaking up on someone and ended up holding my attack longer than I thought I would need to, I scream and they turn around.

remove it???? i'd prefer making it louder. i like the random screams more than those qqv ones.

Add a poll.. I kinda like it, it feels like you're about to do a lot of damage!!

It's also saved me more times that its given away my position

Keep it! You don't need to hold your attack that long.

Can't agree more. The random scream has ruined many ambushes and saved me when I deserve to die because of lack of awareness. Get rid.
I voted Gurnisson cause of his fucking bendy pike, I swear noone can roflcopter stab like he can.

Doesn't the loudest scream indicate exactly when you hit the sweet spot for maximum hold damage? I think Paul or Cmp once said that.

Max damage is .6 seconds of holding an attack, so it would probably be about that time.  if it's true that the scream indicates max damage hold time reached (I don't think thats true since it seems to only scream after holding for longer than a full second) then it certainly should be removed.

I do not agree about that part. Learning timed moves by heart doesn't seem like a fun thing to do, the audio clue makes much more sense.

It's especially bad when there is almost no feedback on how close your hold was to the ideal 0.5s-0.6s range. There should always be some form of feedback for game mechanics, so that players can learn from their mistakes.

I'm not entirely certain the scream triggers at the ideal hold time, though.

I'm going to put this bluntly you guys are retarded if you want to remove the scream indicator for a good hold. But if you are talking about the very rare hold my attack for 20 seconds random scream, you're still retarded.

I dont think we are talking about the little noises your guy makes while swinging like "hue", "ha", "hyea", "hrmph", but the im waiting at the corner of a building with a swing drawn and i decide to let out a shrieking "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH" to let everyone knows im here before i hit you from behind this corner.

Yes, I might have worded it bad, I meant the scream that happens before attack when you still hold your weapon, not the little scream in the moment when you release held attack.

I love it because of creating hilarious moments. Part of the game since the beginning. Also if you want to sneak up don't hold attack, simple no?

Shieldwall with 2h / Polearms in behind it (holding attacks) without screams? No.
