Jump to 30

Halp. I don't understand big words or complex concepts well!

So.. if I jump to 30 on character X, which is gen 8... I play a bit, I have lots of fun, I am giggling all the way through it, but then I want to try another build. The question is: will I lose my heirlooms if I want to go to level 1 again and start gaining XP?

..you will be stuck at this level, and are not allowed to have any alts until you delete this one.

I am very tempted to use this feature. If you delete the "insta30" character, can you level up him to 30 again?.

This way the only thing you lose are heirlooms, but you win the possibility to insta choose any build you want. I may try this feature...

And the last question, if you delete the "insta lvl 30" character, can you level up one the old way (and gain bonus exp and heirloom at 31 when you retire)?

Click on the character name on the website (at the top, above the gold and clock) to switch characters. All your characters are listed there.

Yes to both questions.

This feature makes me a happy panda.
"You can jump directly to level 30 and gain 10,000 gold. However, you will not gain any Experience any more - you will be stuck at this level, and are not allowed to have any alts until you delete this one."
One question for clarification.
Can I, while having my other characters, turn a character into said level 30 -- it just disables the use of my other characters until I delete it? Or You have to delete other characters to use the feature?
It sounds like the latter, which is cool for a new user. I'd use it but I have 2 characters I'm not willing to delete if that is the case. if I could disable them while using the insta-30? then sure. It would be so nice to just be able to try out builds.

Also, I have declared myself #1 NA hybrid thrower
Formerly known as Marathon.
As an NA admin, I am the most laid back and concerned with the ~fun of the game~ above all other factors. I've also been super inactive since Summer 2012. University takes most of my time, but I still find some time to play when i can.

Quick clarification question about strategus.

If I use this character in Strat but want to retire because of for example heirlooms, will I be able to still participate in Strategus after I deleted the character? If I then make a new character with the same name (Not sure about rules on this).

Then again:

If I have a lot of alt chars and let's say one, only one character with generation higher than 1 and I "skip grind" on that gen 2 character, what do I have to do first?

Correct me, if I am wrong:

- I must delete all my characters
- I have to skip grind on my chosen char
- I have to lose all my heirlooms (???)
- Fun and no more heirlooming or funny alt chars

And what do I do if i want to, let's say, change build on my insta 30 lvl char?

OK, now correct me.

Yeah, I'm curious about this too.  Do you keep your gold and items plus an additional 10k?  Or does it start a fresh character with lvl 30, no items, and 10k gold?  And if I skip to 30 and make a new build, do I lose everything on the original character that skipped to 30?

OK, guys.

I am testing this option - already deleted all alt chars.

Data about my chosen character (main one, shielder):

Pre-test:

Risen_Lady_Aiko

Age 43 [28]
Generation 2
Gold 73,662

Thick Steel Shield, lots of stuff in eq.

Post-test:

Risen_Lady_Aiko

Age45 [30]
Generation2
Gold83,662

Thick Steel Shield, lots of stuff in eq.

Nice! Now let's test what will happen  if i try to retire.

Retired. 1st lvl, kept my stuff.

No option to jump to 30 lvl.

What should I do now, chadz? I want to keep my pro eq etc. but I want an option to insta-30 lvl again!

So you can't do it more than once?
