Throwing + 1h (using secondary function on throwing wep) + shield.
Focusing on one skill is recommended. 3 with agility required sound crazy...but I kind of want to try it

At least ,assuming you need 1 hand proficiency to melee well with throwing weps.

Depends on which throwing weapons

The throwing axes and throwing hammers use 1h wpf
The Jarids, Throwing Spears, Darts, Javelins, and Throwing Lances use Polearm wpf.

I have a (balanced) shielder char for that. It's pretty fun and works with pure heavy throwing axes layout as well as 1h wep+javelins/throwing spears.

+3 Heavy Throwing axes are excellent in 1h mode; 36 cut! People don't expect you to melee them, so you get a lot of "free" kills.

Hoplite with throwing lances is also very good.

Started screwing about with javs/shield, but settled on hammer. Which begs another question...
