I think the people on this list are mentioned because they do it consistently and have a high chance of pulling out a clutch finish even if outnumbered 3+ to 1.

I've seen plenty of LLJK and Dracul do great things, but the people on these lists do it day in and day out.  Not everyone on this list wears heavy armor either...

We do it on a daily basis, I think the people who make these lists follow old guidelines from the list before, causing a never ending chain of "Goretooth is the best player!" when he really isn't. I'm not going to lie, he's a good player but I don't think he does amazing things daily.

I don't think this (or the previous) list is really about skill, but more battlefield recognizability. Bringing up an overused example again...Goretooth usually is in black armour with a bec, and plays during peak times. Dracul_Deltah for example is quite good isn't in recognizable armour(nomad vest?). Rhaylshesdfgf also has the same outfit all the time, the french bucket hat and leather mail something.

I don't think the choices are based on the kit people use nor based on a '' friend list'' but more about the skills of these people, i consider myself a pretty damn good player yet a bunch of those guys can mop the floor with my face the second i make a mistake. Sure there's a bunch of people out there that are probably really skilled but if most of the playerbase don't see them, they are not going to make it in any list.. sad but that's how it work.

I'm not going to deny some of your clan mate's skills because from what I've seen most of them clearly know what they're doing.  But here's the catch: if they're playing seriously.  I don't think people take Dracul seriously because half the time you guys are in peasant gear chopping at trees or running around with practice weapons.  In my mind it mirrors how people see LLJK - CaptainMorgan for example I think is a pretty good player but because of his association I don't think people will ever consider him in any of these lists.

We here at Dracul know what it's like, we're on the top of the scoreboards quite a bit and we never get mention. I've seen the same with SoA too. I've seen Allers destroy enemy teams by himself, he was in a tunnel with 6 - 7 guys behind him, and all he had was a one handed un-heirloomed sword. He turned around and obliterated every single one of them. He ran out of the tunnel to kill the rest of the enemy team.


So what does it take to get on this list? Heirloom heavy plate armor to masterwork, grab a long weapon, heirloom to masterwork. Join a server with plenty of people and spam around? These "watch list" are always like this, they include the people who are in the biggest greatest clan or have the best weapon and armor. Shouldn't this be based on skill?

and allers crutches on the strength build hard, and with his "horrendous" 60 ping, rationalizes wearing full plate while dueling, hes a walking vagina in the duel server,

I was there for the thing. Allers had to go watch American Idol so he couldn't go to Native to finish the 2nd half of the match.

This list is not about who is the most skilled, or best duelist, or best spitwad maker... This list is about the players that are consistently lethal.

Allers is a lethal player but he mostly goofs off so that is likely why he did not make the list.

You can argue all you want about goretooth for example, but at the end of the day he nets kills. Sure he is gaining a lot of Grace from his armour (even though when he is wearing his green pezzy outfit instead of his black armour he still is on the top five) sure he is using a build more suited for battle then for duels, but at the end of the day this list is about a watchlist not some arbitrary better-duelist-then-you.

Rhade for example was pure murder in a duel and is honestly one of the best duelists I have ever seen, but he was taken down faster then usual in battle due to his hyperspecialisation on dueling and his past dueling experience, and thus would have a problem of battlefield awareness and often get killed due to it.

So again, this is not a list for most skilled with X, this is a list for battle players that will kill you more often then not, or take down a huge swath of players before going down. Too many duelists have tunnel vision in battle or don't use proper tactics and terrain advantage, and the best skills of blocking won't save you there.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Most of us have been playing this game for some time now, and unlike the majority of the community we lack the ability to use the same armor and weapon for a whole year.

And there you're wrong. Allers has some tight restrictions due to numerous things, and you could possible re-arrange the native duel and cRPG duel if you wanted. Just make it early on in the day, probably on a weekend.

I win battles scrims and strat battles thats what goretooth was built for. Im sorry I constantly beat draculs without much effort. I find many lljk gaining skill over the dracul bumch without the whine and double the kills.
