i decided to play this legendary game named borderlands after hearing that it has awesum customization and fuckton of weapons and what-not...

BUT IT FUCKING SUCKS!!!
i dunno wtf was gearbox or 2k or whoever developed this game was thinking, game-play aside, this game is a fucking mess.
i get truckload of pop ins, textures make playstation 2 games look like next gen, and beside it looking like crap i get fps that i wouldnt ever asociate with graphics like these. coming to think about it, even final fantasy x that i finished two days ago had better textures and and no pop ins...ON AN EFFING PS2!!!!

Your complaints are just about your computer being shit and not able to run a several year old game with trash graphics.

Besides that though, the gameplay itself is shit yeah. Only worth playing with 3 friends, and even then everyone will probably think it sucks.

never understood the borderlands hype

i played the first game and yea, i thought it sucked
altough, i did get into a hacked match onetime which gave me a shield that everytime i equipped it, i got 8 bucks and a increased shield
so i would just sit there all day making tons of money and walking around with a 10000 shield, i would just charge straight at shit,
and amaze everyone i was playing with.

then it got patched so i lost the shield and got bored of the game

If you like FPS games, and games with a large focus on loot, I think you'll like it. I think it's great at what it does. Sounds like you tried to run it on a tamagachi or something though, so not sure what that whole mess is.

Borderlands is one of the funnest games I've ever played, the humor is spot on, love the gameplay and the visuals. You're just more of eye candy no story type of guy and that's ok, but this game is definitely not for you in that case. move allong son.

Playing as ninja and trying to never use a weapon was by far one of the more entertaining parts of the game.  Boss fights are IMO often monotonous as they take far too long to kill a 'bigger' version of what you've killed a hundred times before.  Some occasional bosses we're fun but the number of mediocre boss fights made the game less enjoyable for me.

umm exuse me, i like a good story more than graphics, however, i cant stand a game that both runs and looks like shiat.
also the story is meh right from the start, you have this robot that is sometimes funny and you run around shooting bandits thats all.

heck dead space 3 ran perfectly and looked great on middle-high settings, while this thing looks like crap even with anti aliasing on 8x. also the pop-in is awful, there was some kind of control switch near some gate and it took about two seconds to load a higher res texture when i got near...

if id compare this to fallout 3... no lets not, there is nothing to compare, those games are on completely different level of production value.

my rig ran gta 4 unpatched on low with 50 fps avg, it also runs dead rising 2 on medium flawlessly [sometimes slight fps drop on plazas].
resident evil 5 ran smooth on medium [i had to make it medium cause my mouse was a bit jerky on high] and prototype ran maxed out with occasional small fps drops. more like optimization being shit, rather than my computer. sorta reminds me of duke nukem, lets hope it doesnt use same engine...
