Want to get in on the Hosp battle coming up

I literally just signed up for strategus so I'm still reading through everything... I heard there's supposed to be a battle in 15 minutes between Hosp and somebody. Can anyone give me the short version on how to get in for that fight?

thanks

For most battles just sign up, provide stats, and go to the teamspeak inside the briefing if you're accepted 20-30 minutes prior to the fight for roll call. You can also find the teamspeak address of most clans using their faction hall thread, and most of the time if you show up for roll call and haven't been accepted you will be there (depending on your level)

Go to the strat battles tab, I usually filter by the when section, and look for the fight against Hospitaller. Click it and a small menu comes up with the application nfo

Arys you can't give people reputation for posts until you have 20 posts yourself, but yes, it is good etiquette to do.

battles are posted in the battle section of strat 24hours before it starts. I would suggest applying as soon as possivle to increases your chances of getting in. Also, like they said you may be able to fill in for a no show during rolecall if you wait patiently for any open slots to be announced. (dont keep asking for a spot in the middle of rolecall).

Usually your faction will put you into battle before a mercenary, however it all comes down to your ability to follow orders, character level, and player skill.

good luck in calradia

It is also generally appreciated if you only sign up for battles you can make and if something comes up.. withdraw your application. Everyone hates hiring someone and then that person never showing up to the fight! It is also good to keep in mind that any battle with over 1000 troops per side is going to have a time limit of an hour or longer so try to make sure you can stay that long; mercs who abandon the fight before its done (without a good reason) aren't as likely to get hired again.
also, if you are fairly new you will probably get killed a lot... so try to play conservatively and follow orders, even if your overall score isnt good its better to follow orders and be where they want you to be with a 1:20 score than constantly rambo-ing off on your own in the hopes of improving your score and ending up 5:50.

Ok thanks for all the info guys.

I could've sworn

Where is clan TS info posted?

Also, I could've sworn I set the time settings in strategus to EST, but I see a battle is currently ongoing despite it saying it's supposed to start at 9:46PM (it's 6:39PM right now)

Either in the info for the battle that you see when picking a side to apply for or in the clan's faction page in the faction hall part of the forum.

The two most commonly used ones are:

voice.freecompanies.net.   FCC

weshould.servebeer.com.     Chaos, FIDLGB, Occitan/chevaliers, murder boner, golden apple corps.

A thousand times this. It is far better to play extremely carefully and hold that RMB if you are a shielder, focus on stopping cavalry if you are a polearm, and.....I don't know, abusing stab if you are a 2h or something. After the battle the faction leader(s) are bound to look at the scores and filter them by most kills/deaths. As a new player you certainly aren't going to be too high in the kill department (nearly everyone in strategus battles is a very experienced player, often with high strength and trying their hardest) but you can prevent yourself from being very high up in the death department. Also, if you are quite new and want to increase your desirability as a merc, consider volunteering for flag-guarding or equipment-guarding duty. These roles can range from "wow this is pretty cool, I feel like I'm really important" to "holy shit you better be getting high/drunk, eating, sexting, or watching some shit on TV or a second monitor" Regardless, faction leaders will notice that you are willing to do the shit job and if you do it properly, you'll be hired more often. Strat battles are AMAZING XP, but also a lot of fun for many people. Of course, there are people that get upset and suffer through every strat battle for the sake of XP, but try not to end up as one of those tortured souls.

Go to crpg main website, at the top click on "Settings" (above tavern/character, etc), then on the left click on "Regional" it will tell you what your time offset is, and it will also say what your current local time is, so you can verify it's set correctly).

Also only one battle or siege can happen on NA servers at a time.  So if two battles are scheduled at 9pm and 9:05pm, the 2nd battle likely won't start until around 10:30pm or so (immediately after the first one finishes)
