Who remembers CRPG from 2010! I keep getting told the games only been out for 2 years and that im an idiot for thinking i played 3 years ago!
Now im only realising that is impossible! as I stopped playing 2 years ago and that I played a year before that, I dont know if im in the right section, I just want to find out if there are any old players from 2010 who started playing CRPG. I played for a year or so then quit in 2011 mid year.

At a guess I'd say at least a third of the old players still play every now and then. Sometimes with different names and stuff, but I think we've all found something addicting in cRPG. Even if you leave, you eventually come back- at least to visit.

Not sure exactly when I started - but it was when there was only a couple maps (one was a battle map with just 2 bridges) and multiplier was based on proximity so that was funny, and the website looked like random numbers and shitty images on a white background.  You played for hours to afford a simple sword and a shitty ass shield lol.

I only played then for a little while, then kinda fizzled out played other stuff...came back again a while later, played for a while, then fizzled out and played other stuff....then came back again :)

Now I think I'm stuck :(

That moment where you are talking about the pros of the old xp/gold system and no one in the teamspeak actually knows what you are talking about, damn newmy old friends. cRPG is in fact more than 3 years old now. To be honest it feels like I have been playing this mod for like 6 years now, but it's only been 2 years and 9 months.

I remember you joining Ninja, hehe, but that was way into 2011 already.

Yeah, I've been playing the mod almost since it's inception. It's been a long, fun, EXP-grinding filled road. Remember when the NA servers were actually just one server, the "Jestservers" one with 40 slots or so?

Bring back the EXP barn, dammit!

No matter how often you repeat that it's awesome, from a gameplay point of view XP barn was horrible and the fact that the xp system encouraged those type of things was quite a flaw. Still I think I'd prefer the old xp/gold system. Motivates people to stick together, which we really could use now. Pretty much any time I try to play I quickly GTX because battle consists of either horribly ganking or getting horribly ganked. Because one team always has a clanstack providing some cohesion or one team has 5 people that do not spawn which quickly decides the round with 40-60 players on.

Also, people would get less frustrated, the multiplier is just one big source of frustration and agony. Nobody chills anymore these days.

Xp barn/bridge all day and retire at what? 17?

It's sad when you have to quit with an x5 and a good team. This XP/gold system needs a change , but it seems that it goes fast : they are working on since 2010.

I got Warband when it came out (if I hadn't pirated the original M&B, I never would have heard of Warband, most likely- go piracy; I wasn't in the beta though) and played mostly Native. I came to check out cRPG at some point, when leveling was area-based and BeatrixKiddo and crymoar roamed Japanese blossom filled servers with heavy armor and 2h fury, and this crazy archer in a Brigandine (Birdman) headshot everything ever.

I think I got to level 17 before I quit playing cRPG, it was just too much of a grind for me and I was so hilariously ineffective after so much time. I came back like a week after or a week before the XP change, I think, and have been (excepting the past 4-6 months) a regular player since then.
You think you're pretty smart with your dago mustache and your greasy hair.
